It saw track last March where the immobiliser deiceded to cut in and not start the car at the end of the day and that’s how it stayed till about a month ago 😂
I’ll have a little look at the timing and see what’s what I reckon.
I managed to borrow a smoke machine to make sure I didn’t have any major air leaks from the RS2 inlet last night, all seems sound.
So Chris at EFi check the throttle body was working ok, which it was, he also checked the air filter setup wasn’t causing a vacuum and restricting flow, which it’s...
Mine had a similar issue at efi about a week ago. But mines on a RS2 inlet. Chris had to add a lot of timing to even get the power upto standard. He thought compression was down or timing was out but I’ve checked compression and it’s spot on.
Chris checked the throttle body and check the air...
Yeah I do get it’s a compromise but it’s or was awesome to drive with the GrpN timing.
I was looking at PMS ITBs last night.
What’s with the TPS sensor that needs wiring in?
Cheers bud.
Wasn’t expecting more power nah was just hoping the Gen90 would belt reliable than my standard ecu which keep giving me immobiliser issue lol.
Yeah seen your graph you posted good results and makes things interesting.
Sorry mate.
I just undone the alternator mounting assembly and moved it all to one side.
Think if your running PAS pump you will struggle to do this tho.
The graph/our come wasn’t shared because mark ask me to keep the grpN timing quiet as at the time he was building his engine and didn’t want endless requests for it doing.
I’m sure I’ve said in the thread as well I only brought the manifold to get rid of the horrid join on the standard one...
To drive on track it was awesome instant power from anywhere in the Rev range really.
Can’t remember why I didn’t stick 197 cams in tbh @NorthloopCup may have recommended not using them or I couldn’t find any at the time lol. GrpN timing is really good to drive
Not if it’s piston rings 😂 still be £££s
I know what you mean tho. Need to test it first but once it’s broke it’s the perfect chance to upgrade :tonguewink:
I’ve got a 200 engine so could use the crank rods and pistons all balanced with the lightened flywheel I guess. I’ve got a decent 172 block as well.
Struggling with what to do actually as I don’t wanna go ITB or turbo really.
@NorthloopCup you reckon mk3 200 pistons would make a difference to my setup?
If it’s down on compression I might throw them in as I have them and new rings.
