Didn't say it wasn't true, just said I'd never heard anything as it wasn't mentioned in update emails from Nikon. ;) lol
It does look nice, but video mixed with DSLR technology imo, is wrong. :p lol
I think I'll stick with DV-tape camcorder technology and Firewire ;)
I can see DSLR as we know it dying slowly..
Mind you, I bet loads said that kind of thing when 35mm film was strangled by Digital SLR. I personally think it going to be a while before it'll take off.. But I have been wrong before, I don't think I'd be buying one tbh
It's not natural :o ;) lol
There is no real difference between the D40x and the D60 tbh.. (nothing really worth mentioning anyway..)
Actually, from reading various articles on it, the D60 is worse tbh.. One review of many..
The only upside really is you get a VR lens standard on the D60 instead of the DX GII lens you get...
They were pretty rank when I got them Gaz! ..
To say the woman who had them was a 'professional', they were dusty and grubby a lot! lol
I went through 15 cotton buds just cleaning the metal frames on 4 of them! :o lol
btw ... It's blurred in that photo to stop everyone from going blind ;)
Right had a nosey.. (gave them a clean too as they needed a bit of TLC ;) lol) The 400mm is a loss, one of the internal glasses is cracked so it's gone. But they were all for free so I'm not complaining. :)
Colorado f=75-150mm 1:4
Meyer Lydith 30 mm. f/3.5-22
Helios 44m...
I'll have to dig them out and list a full spec of the lenses when I have them with me as I've not got them to hand at the moment. Couldn't even tell you the manufacturers either tbh :o lol (not like me to not do homework! lol) I was thinking the same with glass quality too, but I've checked the...
Anyone doing it?
I've just acquired an old Pentax P1000 SLR 35mm with:-
30mm,
50mm,
70mm to 130mm,
150mm
400mm Lenses
The lenses have all got the M42 fitment. None are auto functioning with my D40, which to me is cool as I'm constantly using manual settings on the DSLR anyway. (its only my...
Personally? .. If I could afford the upgrade, I'd swap.
D40's are excellent camera's on a budget, but it lacks the internal motor the D80 has. The only drawback is the D80 is slightly older than the D40 so has a slightly older design look. But I would if the funds were there ;)
I'd put money on the cameras/equipment have already paid for themselves through him selling the photo's he's taken.
Stunning kit btw... I'm jealous. :o :(
Sounds right, would need a trigger cable capable of being locked open.
Shame the D40 doesn't do it, I'll be dammed if I'm going to stand there for 30 minutes holding the button down! :S
Good shot though, Would've been better if there had been more stars though ;)
I've used Carl Zeiss lenses on a 35mm SLR and they ain't ANYTHING like the crappy ones you get on the mobiles ;)
Best advice is, play with all 4 of them in a shop and feel them for grip/playability/use and see what you think. All cameras vary from person to person in terms of handling, weight...
Thanks, although I do like some of the others in here too.. The robin of JJ!'s is one and the sunset of Kneels too..
I Thought I'd already added you to my list, or is that wrong? :o
Started off with one of these..
Then,
(Should've kept both tbh)
Then from the Spectrum +3 to this..
Then from the Amiga 500+ to ..
then to a 'fake Amiga' ;)
Then, went from that to 4 of these .. (all with Hard drives of various sizes installed by yours trully) ;)
Crumpler bags are good, http://www.crumpler.co.uk/
They come with a decent guarantee too. But they're out of your price. Decent ones cost around the £100 mark but they're the one thing you shouldn't scrimp and save on as they protect your equipment at the end of.. Cheap bags ain't as good and...
Mega pickles? Are they the big ones you get from the chip shop? ;) :p lol
Agreed though, MP size doesn't mean nothing, the cameras are only as good as the people using them. But it is a good stepping stone from point and shoot to the DSLR world for a beginner on a budget. Even though it's the...
Laptop, I do have a Desktop sat in a corner but it's remotely run from the laptop nowadays to backup files from the laptop and copy back over ones I'm working on or need.
( and.. I've just spoilt the 50/50 voting split on the poll :p )

They'd have to turn round on mine...
It's a cul-de-sac ;)
I wouldn't have a problem with it, just don't expect me to open the virtual door and let them in for virtual pots of tea, but I can see it posing a lot of problems, even more so if car thieves are using it for routes or just to nosey...
