itd be better than nothing, best thing would be to get it up to temp, drive it for a few miles esp if you could do 70 in it for 5-10 miles etc give it a good blast.

best ive got is 46litres. I had an old F reg Ren 19 and when changing the sender unit i could see in the tank, it was spotless. Anything that can get through two filters isnt going to do much harm.
