Trust me, a properly fitted viper and sports exhaust/cat will liberate the 182 engine and make the car noticeably quicker in a straight line than a std 182 cup. I should know i have had two of the buggers and modified them both LOL.
It's a shame you did not have the same positive experience...
Thats strange, :S
Can you explain how cold dense air forced into the inlet manifold can cause the car to be unresponsive as hot air causes power loss in normally aspirated cars.
I route mine through the bulk head, down via the front wheel arch liner and out throught the small grill underneath the number plate. This Provides the coldest air with positive pressure as it is not drawn from the engine bay.
The performance is noticeably improved.
How was yours fitted Maz?
if you mod the car, keep the original parts so you can change back if you want to sell.
what do you want to use the car for driving on the road or track day use?
If its just for the road i'd change the exhaust/cat and have an closed cold feed induction kit (i.e. viper), mount the intake in...

Hi,
Can anyone recommend anywhere around the surrey area that fabricates stainless steel exhausts?
I need to have the exhaust bracket welded back onto the stainless steel exhaust box.
I live near weybridge but am prepared to travel within surrey/kent to a decent place
Thanks...
1) Both my cars i have paid cash (secret is buy them at discount and change them frequently so you are not hit by depreciation then as you earn more you save more towards the next car)
2) Have sold my house about to buy another
(my pics are futher back in the thread)
I'll add myself to happy pro-speed customer list, both cars have been charlie specials :D
Listen to charlie's advice with regard to what you want and what he recommends
I think its a great idea to have a non RS clio trackday.
There is plenty on trackdays that 182/172's can go on, so not being able to go to one of them wouldn't be an issue to me.
If it was near where i live i'd come along to watch you all
Paddock Hill bend it great, but i have to really push myself not ease off the gas too soon on the straight. I had instruction when i first did my first trackday which really helps teach you to push the car into that corner and when you should brake and the correct line line to take. It still...
Well as I have to pay for the lights if there is any damage from stones (and there are is a lot of gravel at brands normally);)
I would rather have too much tape than a cracked headlight or fog light. :rasp:
Thanks for taking all the pics on the day Debz & Dunc.
Special thanks to dunc from chris for for his assistance in the lunchtime "tyre quiz".
Glad you got my hamster chops in the special XS childs helmet they had to dig out to fit my small head LOL
charl
Never had experience of longlife but i have had pro-speed on both of my cars and would fully recommend them. Charlie is great at creating the exhaust to your requirements

I think i covered around 100 miles today looking for good roads around chobham and good places to visit around the River Thames. :D
