Totally off topic, had a 172 in this morning.... Bloke asked me to check out his very poor idle, cuts out when not on v power.
cambelt done at a non specialist, timing out.
Take it your miles away?? If your not tape the end up, charge the battery and fire it over, should be relatively simple.
Your doing well, wasn't being sarcastic!, if your not mechanically minded it ain't the easiest of jobs, you can undo the loom that's bolted to the block, give you more slack...
I take it the car ran/sounded fine after the belt??, I would think its unlikely a problem with the belt.
We had one a few years ago, went around 3 months after belt kits, dropped a valve and destroyed its self!!
Good luck with the repair. :)
Septic tanks are a strange idea, don't forget they only hold solids, so any water eventually drains off the top! Piss included, lol and goes off down the ditches etc etc to soak away.
How do you share it exactly?? If you share it you have as much right as him, so tell him to piss off, if it's diluted it won't matter in the slightest.
Imagine the stuff that has been flushed / flooded into watercourses recently, like your teeny weeny diluted snow foam will make any difference...
Re: The New Motor
Very very nice car that! :) One of the car's i look forward to working on, it's always mint, no expense spared, the job is done right first time regardless of cost!, Chris also liked a natter etc aswell on drop off / delivery!
Look after it dude! :)
He is selling it standard though ain't he?
TBH, i wouldn't be to worried, i had a chapbook his wife's Trophy in for belts one day, they turned up and were both well past retired! I couldn't believe it, must of been 70 at least and had the t from new! had done 14K from memory.
Looks a bit...
