This is the same setup I've just fitted to the Trophy, and the performance is very impressive!
A fair bit of squeal when you dab the brakes, pulling up to traffic etc but I suppose that's the price you pay for tracks pads when used on the road.
Can't wait to see how well they perform round...
I like them. Either with or without centre caps they look good!
But then again I've got red wheels, so don't trust anything I say... [emoji23]

The old girl sounds like a steam train pulling up at a station! [emoji23]
Took the Trophy out this evening to 'bed' the Ferrodo's in.
Without a doubt the noisiest pads I've ever used!
You can manipulate the brake pedal so it doesn't make a sound whatsoever, and it did seem to improve the...
More CSF prep!
Down at the workshop on a Sunday is always a good laugh.
Brake fluid change for Harry's R32 GTR (which will be on track at Blyton)
Brake fluid change for mine also, along with a set of HEL braided lines, and Ferrodo pads front/rear.
Thought I'd take some photos whilst we're...
Yes mate those are the ones.
I don't she'd sell them... Much like her massive vinyl collection it's all waiting patiently for another pair of 1210's and a mixer to arrive!
She regrets selling her decks massively, so I know those needles will be used again in the future!
I wish... Sold my CDJ's and mixer ages ago and still regret it.
The wife even sold her 1210's and now the prices have gone crazy!
I think we've got some 'ortofon' needles kicking about though! ?
Pending upgrades, and some preparation for CSF18 at Blyton.
Ferrodo DS1.11's for the front, and DS2500's for the rear. Along with some HEL braided lines.
Just need some decent fluid, and have also been looking at mounting options for my gopro in the car.
'Head Rest Mount' looks good, but...
Only just stumbled across this thread...
Amazing work mate, and lovely attention to detail. This car will be something special once it's finished! [emoji1303]

I'm more thank happy to offer passenger rides for anyone that wants to come out in the Trophy?
I will grab a 'Taxi' sticker when I arrive Friday evening! [emoji1303]

Totally agree mate. Certainly not taking away what an epic car the GT2 is!
That N/A 4.0 litre engine is incredible. I can just imagine a Guards Red RS on my fictional driveway right now! [emoji23]

That looks mega in black! Bloody mean looking car!
Hate to be 'that person' but if it was my money, I'd place an order for a GT3 RS over one of these.

Great to see another LY 220 on the forum!
Seems like your buying, and initial driving experience's have been very similar to mine!
For anyone on the fence, that likes the car but is put off by that EDC gearbox. I urge them to just take one in a test drive!
Granted it might not be for you, but...
I bet it's still got the 13 year old Michelin's fitted to it...
Not a problem however, as I'm sure whoever buys it won't drive it either. Shame really ?
You can't beat a fresh set of clean, uncluttered plates. It's one of the first things I replace on any car I buy! [emoji23]

This will be my fourth year in a row, and each one has been better than the last!
Unfortunately my wedding anniversary falls on August the 24th which is a little inconvient. [emoji23]
My wife's patience is wearing a little thin, and has asked if we would please go away for it next year, so I...
As Gus said mate, any car is welcome and the atmosphere and general attitude is fantastic.
You won't regret it! [emoji1303]

Thanks guys!
It's comforting to know that I'm not the only person that isn't put off by a car looking like it's crashed through a burger van condiments table! [emoji23]

Thanks Tim!
I have discussed this with others, and have even thought about the red Trophy-R graphics that go up over the rear quarter.
I don't know whether it would be a step too far!
The other issue would be if I stuck the black wheels backon, it may look a little odd?
