As far as I know, it’s a telescopic shaft (folds on the impact) but not sure if it can be split and rotated... going to test my old one non EPAs

@CamMoreRon ok so this is how my UJs are positioned. The issue with adjustability is that the lower one is fixed position and can not be rotated (can only slot one way to the rack)
The top one, I can only rotate the input shaft on the motor, but this won’t change the orientation of the UJ. The...
OMG! I am lost for words mate :) this is explanation and a half!!! Thank you soooo much!! This makes sooo much sense now! Especially the video. When I was fitting the column after I painted it, I literally just fitted it as is, had no idea about all this. So almost 100% certain it’s out of...
That is very interesting! Thank you! I already chopped the old ones and used oem cup replacements. Very noticeable difference. But still not %100. But I though that was just feel the EPAS gives. By CV joints, you mean the wobbly wiblly thingy at the end of the column? Where is attached to the...
Been playing science today lol.
The correct way of scaling a temp sensor. Heat up in a tin of oil to 140deg. And record voltages as it drops.
Incase someone will find my science useful, here is the sensor I bough...
Got the new 19 row cooler fitted. Tried the 25row but just way to big. This is the biggest you can fit in that space. Should do the trick. Also will test the voltage of the temp sensor tommorow in the bench in a cup of oil to make sure it’s calibrated correctly 19 row vs 10row

There are 2 ways (maybe 3) you can go about it. Buy new hinges from Renault for about £120ish
Cut from your old doors
Or a third way is if you find some dented old doors somewhere to cut from them and sell yours. Doors even in good condition don’t go for much this days, certainly not more than...
there were a few issues through out the day.
main issue was oil temperatures. after a few laps pushing hard, i could easily reach 128-130 deg. not comfortable with that so ordered a bigger oil cooler, 25 row. the one i have is 10 row mocal. also i am thinking the sensor scaling might be...
Alright, this quite an important milestone update! it's first proper outing on the track! Donnington 20/08/2018
overall very very happy! plenty of power! amazing grip on full slicks! steering works ok.
first, i am gonna spam this with pictures hehe. not for your pleasure but more for the...
I actually trimmed them a little as I though that edge was a little too big. I am happy with the quality, I managed to alignthem perfectly they close like oem. They do flap a little at the top above 100mph
Honestly I would be hard pressed to NOT recommend them. Can’t see any faults taking in to...
Adam, you might want to reconsider your oil cooler. It’s only a 10roe right? Been to donny yesterday and was struggling with oil cooling big time, after only 2 laps pushing temp would go to high 120s. Ordered 25row for myself yesterday.

Happy to report, it fixed 80-90% of the issues I was having. Now wheel has a tendency to return and there is nice weight to it in corners. Still not 100% not sure why. Perhaps it’s the feeling EPAS gives anyways. Will see how it behaves on the track on Monday! But look at the difference
Before...
Little update.
Think I figured out why my wheels wasn’t returning. Not enough castor. (I hope I am right)
When last year I bough new wishbones to strengthen I didn’t even realise there were so many different ones.
This is the original that came with the car: this is the one I bough...
