    Take it to another garage, like a stealer. They will do a health check, get a report of what is wrong and take it back where you got the car from.

    Whatever you are measuring looks like it has just been cut off something. I would like to know how much was cut off, if it is alot it wont fit well.

    Have you considered the k tec ones, heard quite good things about them for the money (fixed damping though). I had FK konigsport and cnnot recommend them enough.
