Can anyone recommened a good piece of backup software please? Preferably incremental, so that I can go back and restore files from an earlier backup session if required. I used to use Retrospect that came bundled with my external HD, but that absolutely refuses to work with Vista. Any...

Blockbuster
Blockbuster has it in, if you want to try it out before lashing out a cool £40. Secured myself a copy for the weekend and seems pretty good so far...

*Final Update*
Took it to the dealers today, to get the new lights in. All done by lunchtime and straight across two roads to get the previously failed MOT complete from my independent garage of choice. Two (begged) lifts later and I'm safely back home waiting for the good news phone call. What...
It must be getting less common - I've bought a laptop, 20" and 24" monitors in the last 6 months and not a dead pixel between them. Not sure of exactly their policy, but overclockers.co.uk are right on it when it comes to customer service - I always use them, cos you can trust them, better than...
OK, so I have an extremely early XB360 with a Hitachi/LG drive and an empty Sunday afternoon. Sounds distinctly possible. Where do you get the actual firmware downloads, though? Seems to say "Download: n/a (might be illegal to distribute under DMCA/EUCD)" for every single one?
Cheers!

Thanks Fred, thats good to know, although I now feel slightly guilty at refusing to jump my neighbours car last night. As she was a woman she didn't know how to bump start a car. Of course I know, but can someone give an idiot's guide, just so I can check that they know, too :D

Wasn't actually bought from them - bought it used from an independent dealer in Manchester. The engineer certainly gave it a very hard look at today and asked some very searching questions - but he agreed after I threatened to firebomb his house :-)

OK, which if any of these things is impossible or dangerous to a ph2 172, guys?
* Bump starting it?
* Jump start either from or to another car with the battery connected?
* Recharging the battery with it still connected?
I guess these questions might be helpful to more people in the next...
Re: MOT fail - lights dip to right!! - Update
Update - took it to the dealers this morning, who after much poking and prodding and grunting agreed that for some reason it has continental headlights (they confirmed that it isn't an import) and that as it has 6 days warranty left they will sort...
You see some pretty off-the-wall suggestions for power gain in this forum, so I'm surprised in the year Ive been here noone ever mentions lighter flywheels. Obviously it's not actually a power *gain* but it's gotta make a faster 0-60 surely? Maybe the engine just isn't torquey enough to make...
OK after reading another thread I see small white allen key adjusters behind each headlight unit - can anyone confirm if these adjust the left/right or up/down angle?
Cheers!

Imagine my surprise today when my 53 plate 172 failed it's first MOT. Apparently the lights dip to the right! The guy reckoned it might be an import, but I'm pretty sure it's not (although I bought it used, it has an alarm). Anyone else had this problem or know if there is some magic way of...
Obviously, it's easy to scan for open (or otherwise) wireless networks with a laptop. Is it possible with a desktop computer connected to a wireless router though? Damned if I can work out how you could do it!? Anyone help me?
Thanks!
