I'm amazed anywhere will do a decent colour change for £1500. It's not even worth the money for the time and effort you put in.

Paint is more expensive, expect £2k+ for a decent proper strip down colour change, but will look amazing if done properly. Wrapping is a lot cheaper, but even the best of gloss wraps still just look like a shite paint job no matter what you do.

Looks like it's just the paint that's cracked from what I can tell in the pic. Easy enough for a bodyshop to sort, a new bumper is not necessary and will come unpainted from Renault anyway. Expect £200 for a decent job, could be a little more could be a little less, find somewhere that you know...

Now I've actually bothered to read, if you're actually going to change, out of those two get the 172. The MK3 isn't worth the extra cash for the very little performance gain over your 1.2 and probably no extra toys either.
