I've cut the cable that connects to the catch, and taped it up. I presume the 12v black only operates once it touches earth, so yer i taped that up.

I've still got this problem with my alarm. Orignally after twenty seconds it went off, turned out to be the bonnet switch, which I have temporally removed and taped together to simulate the bonnet being closed. I set the alarm, and it didn’t sound after 20sec. I thought great its fixed. Later...

I did yes. Once I took the dash out, there was a small blue ISO type connector taped to the underside of the Sony radio cage, plugged it into h/u all worked fine :D

I priced up some michelin exalto PE2 at costo, 195/45/16 £69.31 per corner balanced and fitted. Am i right in saying 215 makes the tyre wider and 40 'the profile' thinner?

I’m looking at tyres for the 172. My tyres currently on are 195/45/16. Can I fit 205/45/16 instead? Not to clued up on tyres with regards to what fits what… The wheels are Mk2 172 standard rims

Oh right. What does the end of the CD changer cable look like then? I suppose if the dash has been off to install the autolead, they could of pulled it back behind the dashboard..

I've got a keypad above the windscreen, which according to the instructions allows multiple keys to be entered using the security 4 digit code. However it doesn’t state whether or not a used key would work. I presume if I got a new alarm key, it would be fine.

E-mailed the seller regarding the dials. In all honestly he didn't know they were different, but after contacting Renault was told they were an optional extra... Plenty other deals to chose from so will give this option a miss.
