Hi all, have put a thread in the regions for all to keep an eye on over the next week or so, I'm back in the country tonight and miss Irish roads! YES believe it lol
I'll be venturing out with car & camera after Monday when I put her through the MOT...
Program mode & fill in flash set at TTL/BL (-0.7) seemed to keep me happy today in regards to sharpness - some shots were taken at f22! :eek:
Better results than I was getting in Aperture priority :S
That was for "street" shots at a festival today in strong sunlight - rolling with the D90 +...
I had a go at my sunset that I was rambling about above with a Hitech 10 stopper - didn't come out how I would of liked but not as bad as I thought my first attempt would have been :o
On the camera - everything is Blue! I assume that is normal until I tweak the WB in photoshop? - otherwise it's...
Little bump here but it looks like I'm having the same trouble, with "normal" shots - portrait/still life/landscape in Aperture or Program mode :S
Even tried a few in "Landscape" setting and some looked awesome on the rear screen but very soft when loaded onto the laptop :(
I'm shooting with...
Oh dear :dapprove:
As you say thankfully it was the filters that took the brute force and not the lens, but that little scratch on the lens will bug you - forever! :(
The kid must have been a Nikon user - aahhhh they learn so quickly these days ;)
Wow Scott, thats a pockets-worth - or 2! :) nice collection!

No need for the 0.3 ND grad filters or even the full ND's to begin with then?
I had this in my mind so correct me if I'm wrong;
Foundation kit
77mm Wide adapter ring
Lee Soft ND grad set 150mm
Hitech Big stopper
Plans are to get a better attempt at these kind of shots, taken last year in...
Got myself a Manfrotto MK394-H in the end - only about 400g heavier than the model I looked at above and in turn supports more weight
It's not too heavy - compared to my 055Xprob beast it's just what i was after;
Compact (boy it's small!)
Light to carry about
Good head on it and uses the same...
Looking at filters too - what you reccomend to start off with?
I'll be using a Nikon crop body & Sigma 10-20mm too for most landscape shots.
I would like to try and get some nice sunset shots in Malta next week :)
Anyone know if Jessops do any discount in-store if you were making a "big purchase" ?
Heard of people getting a chunk knocked off with them before not sure if it was praise or waffle though
It's held on with 4x 10mm bolts mate!
I took the upper inlet/plenum off too for easier access and made sure everything (including inlet bend & breather pipe) was secure all-round when refitting just for extra "peace of mind" turns out I have peace & quiet too - so happy feckin days!
On another...
