My roof is vinyl so it's the same product for me :) I'm assuming your roof is similar to the mohair '5 ones?

What do people use for cleaning soft tops? I'm pretty sure my mx5's roof is vinyl but I have no idea what to try on it, google seems to bring up all sorts of rubbish.

I totally agree, I had the use of one from work for a while and it didn't work for me at all. I can imagine the fiesta/this engine combo works very well but the focus just felt underpowered for motorway cruising, it always seemed to full of turbo lag, and as you say wasn't great on fuel.

@JoeyD did you do your sills in the satin or smooth black? I picked up a second tin of smooth black today for the sills but I think I'll go and swap it for a tin of the satin. I did my wipe arms in the smooth and it turned out quite glossy so I think the sills would look a bit dodgy in it.

JamesBryan I have given it a quick once over myself this morning and to me (I'm no mechanic) it doesn't seem quite as bad as I was lead to believe, it looks like as you said it could just be the bolts. I have been in touch with Andy anyway and will be popping to see him when I know what I am...

I keep seeing an RB 182 around cleveleys. It has some sort of black wheels on it, it's always moving so I can't make out what they are though. Looks nice anyway if you are on here :cool:

thanks a lot buddy, you don't happen to know what size steering wheels people run to be slightly smaller than standard do you? I'm 6'5" and the standard one is a bit big and catches my knees.

haha good point. I'll be keeping an eye out on ebay etc to see what pops up anyway. Like I said it is supposed to be 'cheap fun' how long that lasts we shall have to see. That looks miles better and I have a can of that in my garage from doing the wipers, I'll give that a shot, cheers!

I also agree with this, Mine gave me no end of trouble and I wouldn't recomend anything less than a straight six to anyone.

I have just done my friends after work for her, couple of sheets of wet and dry that I had around the garage and hit it with megs 105 via da and they came up brilliant. These kits seem a bit over priced to me.

My mechanic seemed pretty sure it was the rocker but I'm willing to check anything before diving in to the belts again, I'll go out and double check after, is there a set torque to do them back up to? I've literally just done a partial steering refresh along with the gearbox oil today too...

He's about the same distance from me but the opposite direction and I know his work is good so I'll be phoning them both :) Bugger about the belts though what a ballache. Still if needs must it has to be done I guess.
