timmah, any idea what version that was? I was under the impression that the Bose paused the music for you to take the call?
Most will give you "this accessory was not designed..." but as you say you can ignore that, the real problem ones require Airplane mode and interfere like fk when...
Indeed the Bose sounded pretty week to be honest for the price. The Klipsch iGroove for £99 is vastly superior but unfortunately won't work with the iPhone.
In the market at present for a dock/speakers combo for my iPhone. Just wondered what people already had and any recommendations.
Been into John Lewis a few times and contenders are:
Logitech Elite X-Fi @ £150
Bose Soundock @ £200
B&W Zeppelin @ £400
All sound good although the Bose is...
I wouldn't see it as effort but mmKay. Just download the fat big mouthed slob's podcast off iTunes. Sure it would feature if it's a highlight, though personally I think the bloke is a t1t.
You also can't stream it on your iPhone, no mp3 torrents yet they're all RM/Flash streams so your out of luck.
Nope, you can't yet save files out of the box to iPhone. If you hack it though you can.
Yep forced to use iTunes for now until someone works out a way around it.
To view things easily off a USB stick you need to format it in the following way:
Create a folder called PS3, then within that create sub-folders for content called VIDEO, PICTURES, MUSIC then drop your content within that.
Or you can drop it anywhere and just press the Triangle button which...
For a start it's either cable or it's ADSL, each requires a different router. In the past I used a wireless draft N Netgear which Argos sell and it worked fine tbh.
Re: iphone appstore must haves?
Nope it got pulled at request of Lucas Arts I heard, guess they want their own licensed one up. There's a copycat app called iSaber though.
Nice one though I was expecting you to say you mullered it with a drill!
Norting more annoying than nuts/bolts that round off, had horrible trouble getting the to mounts off my 182 a while back, also needed drilling.
The update closes an exploited security hole which stops them working on current jailbreaks.
There's a new hardware hack out at the end of the month, requires you to cut up your SIM and put it on a new SIM which harbours a chip.
Think this is fairly usual, least it used to be on 3 network but maybe that was because they farmed out the 2G coverage to O2 at the time. Google UMTS switching.
I linked to the Apple battery document somewhere in here, but it's supposed to be best after 4 full charge cycles, that is:
1 cycle = charge fully, drain fully (until it turns off).
I'd suggest turning down the screen brightness too, along with WIFI, BT, and location services.
For me 2.0 is a...
I think if we all took that view then the government would be ploughing ahead with it's draconian state dream of monitoring all our Internet/phone/mobile.
This or any BB stuff just doesn't wash with me, it's less about having something to hide and more about valuing our privacy.
If I'm in a...
I hope they sort it full stop, a half baked solution isn't something Apple like to put their name to frequently. But agreed the BB is simply an email client, where as the iPhone is (a buggy crashfest on version 2.0) a lot more, but consequently as present isn't Enterprise class.
Check out...
The 'hidden' goto top function for users it's simply unclear, needs to be better anotated IMO. I spent yesterday telling 7 people how to do that exact thing instead of scrolling through thousands of items. A system as per the contacts page with a 'bar' would be better served.
The multiple...
Indeed, background utilities isn't a huge problem and the Jabber push will help with such things - It's a nice to have. The missing mail functionality is essential though, as is a much more comprehensive policy system.
Yesterday I was reading about this policy deployment and enforcement, you...
Well...
I've had my personal phone for a little while now, and yesterday my second iPhone arrived (work phone) along with the 7 others I ordered for ze team.
I've noticed serveral things so far missing and some of which are bloody annoying in an enterprise environment:
-Mail, missing so many...
