It's long and hard and proving very expensive and he looks so sorry for himself with his crap swirly peeling paint and no interior. So many people have told me its a waste and to get rid and sometimes I'm tempted but then I look at him and see the potential and I wouldn't be able to let him go!
Well bit more grinding and cutting to do tommorow. Lower door seals and boot seal are just about salvageable (I think) but doors need some attention at the bottoms. The other wheel arches are ok bar the back passenger side which has a substantial piece needing replacing and the tops of the a...
Taken the t top centre panel off today :( all the seals have rotten ($500) and the centre piece is rotten through (£90). Looks like a pillars are fucked too. Good job my welder is on hand to get cracking as it is booked in for respray in march!
I'm getting the season 3/4 dash after the "Knight of the Jugganought" refit where he gets super pursuit mode :) very similar vbox but has square lights! This pics s**t but gives the idea ha ha
No major updates to report tbh as my welder doesn't start work till end of next week :( some bits have arrived though! Haynes manual, KNIGHT keyring (sad but cool too) his replacement cream carpet and most importantly his gullwing steering wheel and switch pods! Still need to buy an adaptor...
We tried taking it back to the dealer 2 weeks after we bought the fucker cause of all it's faults. It only transpired about the vic just after new year. The dealer is devoid of any care or morality and had no interest in resolving the issue. It's gone way beyond being an easily resolved amicable...
Well tried calling the dealer and they won't pick up the phone. Sent 4 emails and had no reply at all. Can't go over and confront them cos no car lol. Joy of joys!
The car deffo had no tax when we came to view it. They put on a fresh 6 months the day we bought it. We even had to wait while he went to the post office to do it ha ha
no we got the green slip from the dealer, sent it off to the dvla who said it could not issue a v5 until a vic check had been completed.... shall wait and c what dan digs up.... either way Harris of Wakefield will be getting a visit.
That's what I thought surely when they tried to tax it it would have set alarms ringing at the dvla. The whole thing is bizarre. Makes you wonder if there paying the post office as well or something. If you google the garage there are numerous terrible stories involving them. It's a very dodgy...
It actually sure mate. A while back I presume. The garage we got it from taxed and mot it so must have been done by a "friend" I think. Hence why we thought it was all kosher. Sigh. I feel for Laura tho. First car and she's been robbed by a bunch of cowboys. She doesn't even want to replace it...
Whatever. Either way were stuck. And my 28 yr old yank tank is more reliable than the tiny French disaster. And no doubt admin will ban me for my comments. Ahh well.
