I had it done a year ago by Jay (shinevalet), and it looked awesome he did a superb job. I just dont know what im doing wrong it looks bloody awful again now, ive never owned a car thats hazed up like this before, but yeah i may have to get Jay back
Washed using two bucket method, Meguires Micro fibre mitt, megs shampoo, dried using microfibre cloths, then polished with a 3 stage megs kit (cant remember exact name) by hand. (washed weekly, polished monthly)
Im suffering from some swirling and major hazing at the moment I will at some point...
My girlfriend and her mate did this to the bonnet of my Gf's 106 last year, I had to get the bonnet re-sprayed:rolleyes:
Think it was just her way of not having to wash the car ever again :nono:
It could still have got very hot without the temp gauge going up, the temp gauge works off water temp, if there is no water in the system it cant tell the correct temp.
check the oil isnt milky etc.
henk as your online, Ordered mine on Friday looking forward to getting it soon. My 172 is completely standard engine and exhaust wise. What would be the best map to download.
Cheers
On my old Zr I could set the alarm so that the interior motion sensors were de-activated if required (i.e pets in car, windows left open etc.). However all the sensors on the doors, bonnet, boot etc would still be active.
Is this possible on the 172 and if so how do i set it like that...
Finally bit the bullet today and ordered it. Really looking forward to getting it and having a play about with the software.
I was thinking of using the groupN.rst, followed by the 98Ron.cal files i have no other mods (engine wise) except the acoustic valve removed.
Any one got any suggestions
Same mate although i had the rover VI which lets face it is very similar but with less power (140BHP) had ZR wheels Susp and brakes and was an excellent car. I bought it with 62,000 on and sold it with 117,000 no probs whatsoever in that time. Not quite as quick as the clio but i bet the 160...
Price Sounds good, But its only good value if he knows about the car and does a good Job. No offence to your mate but unless he is a renault specialist, I personally would have it done properly.
Just my 2p worth:o
Sorry I know this has been done to death but I am just about to order spacers, and have 2 questions.
Its a PH2 172 on standard rims and lowered on Sportlines.
1.) Should I go for 10mm or 15mm
2.) What stresses and strains will running spacers have on my suspension geometry.
Cheers.
Hello mate pics look good - maybe a little bigger next time tho lol;)
There are quite a few Monacos on here with the anthracite cup wheels on do a search and you will find some.
