Well had a quick go at reparing it tonight. Will do it again properly at the weekend but wanted to see if it worked in principle.
BEFORE:
Pic doesnt really do the scratches justice. They are quite deep.
Sanded back the laquer with P1500 wet and dry, coloured the scratches in with Black...
seems reasonable enough then. Get a couple of qoutes first preferably emailed or faxed to you. You can then show him proof of the costs involved and use it as a haggling tool
Work has some mahoosive ovens mate. Not sure id get in the one at home lol. Would have to get it past the missus for a start.
Dunno about temps I will check, but as F1 cars use carbon fibre brakes im sure they can cope with a little heat.
Sash this sounds great - good work. One question though my track slot is at 14.00 so I need to be in the paddock for signing on etc at 13.45, Obviously I also want to do the lap but sadly my car nor I can be in two places at once - any suggestions?
I had this a few weeks ago took it to a specialist, they put in on the diagnostics and it showed no fault codes. They cleaned the throttle body and ran some fuel cleaner through it and its now (touch Wood) fine. Ive done almost 700 miles since with no probs it was stalling at every junction...
As above really scuffed the front of my Ktec carbon splitter against a curb last night. Any advice on polishing out the scuffs. they are reasonably deep in places. :dead:
Gutted.
