    Renault Sport parts

Ive just been completely through the Renault Sport website and about a hundred others and I have yet to find out where I can get a Renault Sport parts catalogue if such a thing exists. I know all about the Grp N Clio, the S1600 Clio, and so on including all the toys and F1 programme etc...

    clio super 1600

In the good old days of Group A and N a manufacturer would have to build 5000 copies to homologate a model for competition. Unfortunately for us mortals that is no longer the case and bargain performance cars like the big boys play with are a thing of the past. The only reason that you see so...

That is why the "Cup" is called the "Ragnotti" on the continent.

    Little Theefing B*******

Amateurs! You wouldnt mind it half as much if they were pros and took what they wanted without causing the damage. Capital punishment is a good idea though...they always hanged horse thieves. Eliminates them from the gene pool.

    Clio Rally Pedigree

when the 2 litre Front Drivers actually started beating the 4WD cars in WRC tarmac events, due to lower weight, the FIA banned them and replaced them with the current 1.6 litre cars. They were an embarrassment to the WRC as they were not eligible for the overall championship, and though they...

    Engine mounts

I wouldnt limit axle tramp strictly to live axle cars. Same thing more or less happens on the front drivers as well, except the bit that is rocking back and forth is the engine/transaxle.

    Engine mounts

My take on axle tramp is that the suspension just cant handle the resonance or whatever of the tyre when it is struggling to find traction. Things start bouncing and the tyre gets traction for a moment and then loses it and with all the compliance in the rubber bits, the springs and the normal...

    Parkers valuations

You can throw the book out the window when you are dealing with older cars and specialist cars. The trade books are really only accurate for late model cars and even then just for the volume models. Once outside the mainstream, you have to go strictly by condition. Look the seller over...

    ext temp gauge; bonkers

I wish they were numb! They hurt like hell. Still functioned though, but I wouldnt want to do it every day. Toes were nice and cosy with wooly socks and hiking boots.

Whilst changing my plugs and leads the temp went down to -11 and during my little drive through the country side it went to -12. Can you say cold fingers?

    =Performance For Your $$$=

My mini. Paid IR£180 for it, drove it for 4 years. Felt like it was doing 100 all the time. Primitive form of ABS: you had to pump two or three times to wake up the brakes. Ahh the days before vehicle inspections! Not that long ago in Ireland!
