Henk had sent me some files but I can only open them in Bump. They then only try to open in Adobe and won't actually open at all. Is there an alternative way to open these as these may be the unlock coeds I need?
When I press Read ECU, I get a message "Could not obtain security access to ECU. Invalid VCI licence, please unlock VCI first"
It was a new unit and I have sent the screen shots to Henk and received the above back.
This is what I received from Henk.
"1) Read the reprogramming instructions FIRST !2) Backup your ECU configuration if applicable.
3) Backup your original .cal with the 'read cal' function.
4) Do not attempt to reprogram the ECU in freezing conditions.
First update your ECU software to...
A bit of a thread revival, but the hex nuts that attach the spacers to the hub, there is no way of torquing these up?? Am I correct in saying this isn't ideal? Any likelyhood of coming loose?
Christopher. Really pleased you're enjoying it. I'll keep a keen eye on your project thread. It would be good to catch up again with it, maybe whilst at Goodwood over the summer.
Personally, for the rarity of the car I think standard is the way forward. I wouldn't buy one that had coilovers etc. same for a sunflower or LY. If I was prepared to do that I'd likely have kept the 182 and sold the 172 and therefore done the semi track prep on it and tracked it.

My understanding is you can't add camber bolts to standard shocks and tyre wear will be even on lowered springs. I'm sure someone else will be along soon to confirm.
