Not that I think this makes any difference. But I was running a 5mm flat spacer on the first session. We removed this when we came in, simply to do a bit of testing and trial & error. It did seem to help, but that may have just been in the mind.... As I have no idea how it would have made...
I've had issues with this before at brands. So I've cut out most of the bumper bracket and painted the edges black to show signs of contact. Which there doesn't seem to be much of now if at all.
James bought the diff new in March last year from memory. I think he said he did one race in it and then Porkie had it for a couple of track days.
If it was happening on all corners then I would have though diff, but the fact the left handers were completely fine/awesome makes us think...
Brand Hatch
So I did an evening at Brands Hatch yesterday. It was the first shake down for the car after the recent changes/ upgrades.
The car felt very responsive with the removal of the PAS and some more weight saving. The PMS linkage felt awesome too. So I was very very pleased with...
Did an evening at Brands last night. All was good apart from this nasty juddering I was getting from the N/S wheel on any right hand corner. Speed I think is irrelevant, it was happening at Paddock, Druids and CC.
The best way to describe how it felt was as if the near side wheel was loose...
Just looks so sleek in silver with those wheels. Same combo my boss had.
Hayward and Scott in Essex do an exhaust mod for the Porsches. It ends up being the same as the PSE upgrade where you bypass the rear muffler on full throttle. You just don't have the switchable option. But lets face...
I'd need to measure up a flat spot on my drive first. But that would be good :)
You're in the trade, you probably take a lot more cars to them than I do?
Would be ideal but unlikely to happen haha.
Quick tracking check done. Left wheel was 20 minutes toe in. Right wheel was parallel. Both are now 5 minutes toe out.
I really need to think about learning how to do the tracking myself. Hate paying £40 for it every time, especially if the parts are potentially taken apart a lot...
Sorry to hear about the accident. Hopefully not much hassle comes from it.
I'm assuming you had your dash cams running? And therefore the other party has had to admit full fault? In which you'd hope to only be without the car for 2-3 weeks.
It's when the other party start arguing whose...
Can't even imagine how fast that must be. Hopefully I bump into you at Brands one evening this summer. Would love a passenger lap!!
Mine is only 200bhp lol. 385 must be MENTAL.
Were there really that many of them made? I thought it was far far less....
Saw two of them parked up together the other month. One was LHD. The RDH one was priced at 100k more than the LHD one. £350k if I remember right.
Cor that is some serious damage! Hopefully no one was hurt.
I looked again last night, and couldn't see one drip on the floor. So i'm thinking it must be so minor if anything. I've laid some paper down underneath it again to keep re inspecting. Or maybe it was just the tiny bit of oil I poured over the splines when connecting them.
I think the box...
I'll have a look for the serial number when I take it off, probably Sunday. Don't get that much time to do stuff mid week.
I had assumed this collar was a standard item on the standard shaft. Until Alex showed me a picture of the same part on a standard gearbox the other day an there was no...
