sounds top end to me id say somewhere along the line of tappets, hard to say really not sure if they are suppose to be self adjusting, doubt if an oil change will do much tbh, have you been running it low on oil? also is there oil in the top of the engine?
suppose thats true i was looking into some h&r coilovers want a decent set not some naf ones, do the h&r have adj spring rate etc? sorry not really that clued up on this. thinking getting coilovers adjusting to my required height and then taking to a specialist to set the rest up, sound viable?
this is the problem having to keep adjusting the camber each time i lower or higher it any other option? and whats the ride like on not stupidly low coilovers?
Done a few searches and havent really come up with a solid answer, basically i want to lower my mk2 172 with the option of being able to adjust the ride height front & rear when i feel like it but i dont want to comprimise the ride too much, all these years of hard springs/ride has done my head...
lol nor do they nick windows ie no etching strange people across the pond, but surely someone could just fit locking wheel nuts after, mine has lock wheel nuts and alarm but no etcing
yeah true, i know what the guy bought it for origanally and it doesnt seem an import reflected price, also a quick search people say import differences are no alarm, no window etching and no locking wheel nuts mine has all that apart from cant see window etching cant see very well its dark.

Right just picked up my 172 tonight and im having a few problems, worried ive brought a nail now, anyway everything was fine until i nipped to the shop turned the car off then when i tried to start it again the dash lights came on and it wouldnt turn over just started making an awful ticking...
Does anyone know a decent place around the derby area where i can get a cambelt change (tensioners and aux) on my 172 at a decent price not paying 600 sheets which renault wanted.
yeah your right well i will ask if he has any previous reciepts to see if the previous owner had it done, what do you reckon to the price? suppose get qoute for cambelt if not done and negotiate by that.
