I was going to get a center section from Orbisoud with a sports cat built in...until the £'s!
So I am making the trip to prospeed on sat for a sportcat to made on the car and matched up the the orb.
Does anybody want anything?? while i'm down there lol
I would like to chop the trophy in for one of these - that colour is really ALOT better in the flesh! so one sat in show room and wet myself with joy!
Our mrs said to me 'why' would you have the roll cage in it??? I said why not! looks really good mate!
haven't fitted the kit yet - that is what is on the original bulb, you place the bulb in those slots the put the bulb in the headlight and twist it to hold the bulb in place. I will have to remove the metal clip and cut the side to open it slighty to pass the wires through so then I can hold the...
I have found the problem - I do need new metal clips but can also modify my old ones. Just slot the sides to pass the wires through.
Can I ask has anybody got any pics of where they have mounted or the best place to mount there ballasts.
In the back of my headlight I hust have a hole! so you can insert the bulb and holder then twist the holder to secure the bulb in place?? but with the hid kit there is no way to hold the bulb? the holder has two slots where you put the OE bulb in to or the 'spades' from the hid bulb.
There aren't to versions of the H7 bulb is there???? the bottom of the hid bulb is exactly the same as the OE bulb - but there is no way of holding the hid bulb in the headlight??
I know its been called upon loads of times - Has anyone done a fitting guide? I have just bought a HID kit for the trophy H7 but found out when fitting 'how the hell do you hold the bulb back in the headlight??!! because the holder has already got the wires in it.
The bulb has stamped on it H7...
This has a perfect note to it! just right. for long journeys (motorway) its just like the standard exhaust, but when giving it some beans you can hear it sing :D can't wait to hear it with the maxogen - should be hear tomorro :race:
The previous owner said I bought this version incase the...
LOL I bought it off a guy on the trophy forum. He bought it brand new for £1250! got the recipt too. Its only a few months old, It is the 'quiet' version, doesn't have the added sports cat welded in - just cat back system :) getting a decat for it next coming weeks. Very hard to come by now too!
Put a post up before asking what colour, but wondering if anyone has any photo's of there trophy with painted calipers, or have any views on the colours I have chosen -
Either: Red, Black, silver or Blue?? or if I can find someone to do it same colour as the wheels.
many thanks Rich
bit of an update tonight - I parked up and gave the car a few revs, when the revs were higher and you backed off it sounded like something was loose? like a metal vibration. But nothing is loose - I am thinking of trying a decat to see if the cat is the cause. bit cheaper lol
Since fitting my Orb the noise has been fantastic - had a little issue with fitting etc....blowing for the joint at the cat. Just recently though I have noticed that when the revs get to around 4-5k there is a noise like it was blowing again, I checked it and nothing was blowing. The noise...
My 172 cup had to go back to a body shop 5 times! I was very pissed off but in the end it was worth it - The garage wasn't a s**t one too, they have sprayed the odd lambo, porche, V6 etc..... I paid 400 to have my rear wing and blended into the door done.
Reason it went back so many times was...
Check all your steering rack bolts are tight, my 172 cup used to click just before it got to full lock, spent ages trying to find what it could be....in the end a mate checked over every nut and bolt on the subframe and steering rack - found one of the nuts was 'slightly' loose not alot though...
