blimey... i had mine done and stamped for i think around 180 quid... nice.. oh and i see they have tried it on with you and charged you for a fuel filter which it doesnt need.. the filter is inside the plastic fuel tank on a cup...
not suprised really, diesels are getting crazy now... they shouldnt have compared it against the mid-of-the-range 182 though!, but to a cup. That would have shown the Seat followers up!
Hehe are you 12? - Are you so bitter because your mother regularily sings "No body loves you everybody hates you, No body loves you everybody hates you, No body loves you everybody hates you, No body loves you everybody hates you" to you for hours on end? :p
I had both these go at the same time.. i dont think her Top Dead Center sensor has gone unless she is getting a judderly ride under acceleration... i think its just her starter motor or the wires.. I had the starter motor and TDC sensor replaced and all fine........................ until my...
shaz i just had this with mine last week... every so often it would not start at all, no mechanical noise what so ever when turning the key - started happening once a week, then more and more often.... had to be towed then it would start - went into reno and turned out to be the starter motor...
well its mainly down to reno making the 172s for girl racers and then they brought out the cup versions so it would appeal to the faster male drivers - a clever campaign when i heard what they had done!
:p
mine does it too (Cup) - only when booting it AND i can only hear it when the passenger window is down... spoke to reno and they said that i must be coincidently passing a whilstling man at the time which is what i can hear... glad i have warrently or i would have had to pay loads for that "repair"

matt, exactly what i did.. BUT when i cut away the plastic behind the speakers in the doors THIS was the casue of a big water leak! i went to reno and they replaced it but blamed it on my cutting away that bit of plastic... im VERY unsure as to how this caused the leak as surely my speakers...
black kro, cheers for PM.. the number for the garage is - 01462 486400 - B+G motors - only a small business but both Mick and chris know their stuff.. its about a mile off junction 8 or maybe 9 of the A1... hope this helps mate- i dont mind about not having a reno stamp and having a "B+G" one...
Just had my 36k service done TODAY for my cup.. 109 pound :) - bet reno try to rip you off for the price of a fuel filter but on the cup its INSIDE the petrol tank which only needs to be changed once every 90K!.. but you wouldnt be told that if you went to reno!
Black Kro - i had this done...
Did yuo go to reno about this 1st under warrenty? - ive got a leak which has been in today to be fixed but i dont think what they have done will have fixed it.. we shall see i spose...
Also, couldnt you visibly see water coming in through a windscreen gap at all?
also, sorry to ask.. but 182 Vs Cup - ive heard the 182 is quicker.. but how can it be? it only has extra 10brake but is heavier?!surely its "at best" as quick but not quicker... *long term confused*
Is this a joke? - i really dont understand why there is so much love for the F"R(?)"P in this thread.. granted it doesnt look bad, and may hold a bit of its value but thats as far as it goes...a friend of mine has one and it cannot even TRY and compete against my cup, its on an...
