Umm havent heard good things about superchips. I would go for a Hillpower chip if your looking into getting it done, only £150 fitted as well. However if money is not a problem then go for a uni chip.
And yes you should notice a difference but depends on what other mods you have done.

The rear shox will fit as I am running willy shox on the rear of mine.
I am using Avo 45mm springs on the front of mine and its more like a 55mm drop, seems to be near the same drop as the apex 60mm springs.
And thats on 15s with a 45 pro tyre no...
same problem with me ben think I am gona delock and have the flush handels fitted then debadge and wiper the boot. So if all fails i can still clamber in through the boot.
I run a 16v/willy brake set up on my 1400. easy swap just need the calipers then the disks and pads bolt it all together and there you go. Much improved brakes.
I also upgraded the disks to maxitorque cross drilled disks and mintex pads.

Umm I would say leave it for a couple of days see if it si something in the sysytem i.e sealant. As for the black smoke I get that on my 1400 only happened after if was chipped which I guess is due to the increased fueling.
As for the head gasket I very much doubt it, as you had a head rebuild...
I have the hillpower induction kit with a momo strut brase fitts fine m8.
Although does rub slighlty when the engine is moving on its mounts alot ... i.e when ragging it
