Re: Fallout : New Vegas - Released 22/10/2010
You want to try Oblivion then. It's old now but graphically and physically very similar to Fallout. Plus you get a horse to ride. I spent a lot of time playing it and would start it again iif I had the time.
Re: Fallout : New Vegas - Released 22/10/2010
Exactly this. I never played these sort of games either until Oblivion which was awesome. Really felt like you were in King Arthur type times with the Knights and stuff. F3 just changed the time but with similar objectives. From what I've watched of...
Re: Fallout : New Vegas - Released 22/10/2010
So is Game doing special editions in store with add on's. I remember getting Just Cause2 with some guns and s**t.
Re: Fallout : New Vegas - Released 22/10/2010
From what I've watched with hardcore mode it will take you a lot longer. You constantly have to scavenge for food etc as it is always telling you "stimpak has worn off" "crispy squirrel bits have worn off" etc. Shame about the platinum though.
Re: Fallout : New Vegas - Released 22/10/2010
Lol, he just gave up. HC mode looks savage especially with a crappy gun, not much health and 2 Deathclaws on your ass at the same time...
Re: Fallout : New Vegas - Released 22/10/2010
I thought Broken Steel was a great add on as it just added more to the main story. The others are slightly detached which IMO isn't worth it. Point Lookout seems f**king hardcore enemy wise. Used tons of stimpaks.
I hope the DLC for this will just...
Re: Fallout : New Vegas - Released 22/10/2010
No details yet but I'm rushing to try and finish the DLC before it comes out as I know I won't go back to it.
Re: Fallout : New Vegas - Released 22/10/2010
It's more interactive than GTA. More random stuff happening and just much bigger in general. GTA is mainly an open landscape. Fallout is that plus underground tunnels, whole buildings etc etc. You can't really compare them but I enjoy both as there...
Re: Fallout : New Vegas - Released 22/10/2010
Meh, bugs, I'm getting it anyway. I've been having long load times and crashes with the F3 DLC but it's not that bad.
Just need to finish Point Lookout before Friday..
Re: Fallout : New Vegas - Released 22/10/2010
The time it took to reach PS3 last time worked for me, I'm only just doing it now lol. Maybe this time round I'll get some spare time just before F4.
It's so easy to waste hours playing this. I've finished Broken Steel but have just found myself wandering around again, discovering new places and killing s**t. I really thought I had found most but there seems to be quite a few undiscovered areas on the map. Sure they weren't there before...
Wasn't that the same in one of the snow maps though? You'd have to be a pretty good pilot as it looks a pretty open map. 4 or 5 kills in one with a couple of well placed RPG/tank shots.
Re: Fallout : New Vegas - Released 22/10/2010
I'm not sure that's always the case though. Depends on what you have leveled up on. I've been finding Broken Steel fairly punishing on level 23 what with the Deathclaws and stuff. Mutants etc are a piece of piss but some stuff is still tough.
Re: Fallout : New Vegas - Released 22/10/2010
I just remember the early stages with a s**t hunting rifle and a sledgehammer. Not quite so easy as Level 20+
