its not what kerry says that happened to me too :s thats summit todo with it forgetting to load up windows or summit mine, i pressed the button, fan would start up then shut down a short time after and do it again and again :(

it went in the bin, it was 18 mths old so was out of warrenty asked a few ppl and they said it cud be the cpu, was desperate for a computer to do some work so just bought a shitty one for £300 or summit with alot more memory so wasnt too bothered so see if u can get it fixed while its under...

same thing happened to mine it was a pavillion too....didnt find out what was up with it, just got a new one take it back and get a replacement :(
