Odd the old design can't even do that. It's a solid piece of polycarb seems a bit of a design flaw going to a bit that can separate.
I just have to put up with the keyboard surround section cracking. On it's 3rd replacement now.
Honestly mate, on the first game even with both GPU's I couldn't hit 60fps for longer than a few seconds.
In this one with them both working I reckonit would push past 100FPS easily. A single GPU I get zero slowdown lol. Thats at 1920x1200 and extreme settings.
Suffice to say it doesn't push...
Things have changed a bit since the 486 era lol. What a load of rubbish. In the amount of time DX has been around we are on version 11. The updates are done automtically with new game installs or through windows updates.
You really don't need to upgrade PC's no more like you used to. A PC from...

It's a bit buggy from what I have noticed.
Doesn't like crossfire / sli at the moment either. Just results in some massive flickering. With allthe work arounds basically reducing performance so had to disable one of my GPU's when playing it.
Am enjoying the actual game though, although it...
Internet connections can handle it fine. You are talking around 16kb/s required per player so 2mbit(that's server side, for the end user less) add in VOIP and it's a bit more. But honestly games are not very demanding on internet connections for the most part. That 16kb is on the top end of...
Yet console players will get a whopping 24 players!
This is where the PC shines. A war game should be hectic with 128 players it actually will be. With 24 it will be a bit s**t.
Fresh install is the best way to do it.
But make a partition just for the OS this time on the drive.
Quick format the drive then set a 50GB partition for windows and office etc. Games, files etc save on the other drives / partitions.
It really isn't that much bigger.
Not the latest versions, but they are the same size. 15" on top 17" on the bottom. There is virtually nothing between them to be fair.
screen size depends how portable you want it. Up to you that bit. I personally would go 17" if it is going to be used at home only or very rarely carried about.
Processor 2.2 vs 2.3 is fairly pointless. Just stick with the 2.2
Hard drive 500gb unless you want to go for an SSD and optibay down...
If you order them direct from TD you can get them in, White, Anthracite, Racing Black, Silver and Primer coat. Also various offsets you can pick and widths etc.
If you order them direct they are basically a custom wheel. Whatever you want they will do.
As on the website they don't even...
Simple really. Their laptops really are about as good as it gets in the high end market.
The desktop variants leave something to be desired but the laptops are brilliant. I have high end windows PC's for my desktops. However, my laptops are all Macbooks now.
That simple really, the MBP is the...
It's a shame they went with the cheap 5870 version and not the eyefinity one.
I mean just think if they went with the good cards and allowed you to use multiple 5870's you could go mental..... Although I think I would need an extension for my study...and a mortgage for the screens.
Never had that problem, I do occasionally leave some of my monitors turned off and windows will be on them. Yet I don't want to turn them on, watching a film or something on the main monitor. I simply go to the task bar, right click and pick the option that says "Move".
Even your dell should be able to run the inbuilt monitor at native and an external at its native res. Fairly normal provided you set it all up correctly.
In my honest opinion though, while OSX is basically easier and better with just about everything. I honestly think windows does a better job...
Personally I am shocked they continue to use shitty 6 bit TN panels in the MBP's. A panel that is actually not capable of hitting 24bit true colour. While every other Apple device around uses far superior IPS panels. f**king stupid.
They do have these odd little ways of scamming money of out you. Guy on the C4 forum repeatedly got quoted more for using his garage than just sticking his car on the road. How a locked and secure garage costs more to insure than it sitting on the road is beyond me.
Well it has, sort of. Simply put for everyone to understand it, it is plumbed into the GPU and PCI-E lanes. So that one port can now handle hooking up a hard drive, or something else or it can handle a monitor. Or both at the same time.
The interface is also there to replace display port, SSD's can already outperform SATA3. You can pick up PCIe based SSD drives that can top 1.4GBps, can't integrate them into a regular drive as there is nothing other than PCIe that can handle that kind of bandwidth really. The fact is, a faster...
Re: Anyone looking for apple RAM or know if crucial have any discounts on?
So what is it you are actually wanting the extra ram for? Do you want to eventually go to 16GB in the iMac?
Re: Anyone looking for apple RAM or know if crucial have any discounts on?
Won't get much for it being honest, memory isn't worth much at all 2nd hand. I have my original macbook memory sat here, doubt anyone would want the 2GB worth though.
Re: Anyone looking for apple RAM or know if crucial have any discounts on?
Just checked online Corsair is £70 at scan. Crucial is just as good. If you can save £5 I would go with that.
Honestly you could pick pretty much any memory maker out of a hat and there would be bugger all between them.
Re: Anyone looking for apple RAM or know if crucial have any discounts on?
About normal price. Memory doesn't really go up and down in price much. £65-£70 is the norm for 8GB.
