There seems to be alot of stuff on this recently and people wanting to know more so i knocked together a little how to guide. i use Dynamic photo HDR as the interface is easier to use than photomatix.

if you just want a black edge use the rectangle selection tool to highlight the edge of the image > edit (at top of the screen) > stroke then choose the thickness of it

canon 50mm f1.8 arent that expensive mate, you can pick one up on ebay for around the £50 mark, they are nice lens though i got one with my dslr, but i dont really use it as much as i should do
the second pic was actually shot on a nikon 5400 with a screw on macro adaptor, not sure of the magnification but as you can see you can get pretty close

yeah i think it needs a fair drop as it looks like a 4x4 with 17's on standard springs, just dont want to go so low it rubs or speed bumps start becoming an issue
hi guys, can you lot post up pics of your cars (preferably a mk2 ph2 non sport) lowered (even better on 17's) just so i know what drop to go for. I am thinking about a 50mm drop, will this be ok with 17's with out rubbing etc
