I think as long as the lettering size and spacing is correct it should be fine.

I could of been wrong, but turns out on this occasion I was right :D

He said he cut his standard plates down so it would therefore mean it had standard letters/font. You just need to cut off some of the top and bottom of the plate and then it should fit the recess

Welcome to cs :cool: Best mod I have done to my non-sport is to colour code it as it makes it look much better, people also tend to get RS grills I haven't done this to mine as of yet though, another good mod is painting the diamonds or bullets. :approve:

Don't know much about the 172s I am afraid but do a search or have a nose around and I am sure you will find loads of helpful info :cool:
