Well, test drove a GTi6 tonight. Wasnt too impressed to be honest.
Didnt feel mega fast, and lacked the urgency that the clio has about it.
Guess thats one off my list
Shortlist lincludes
Phs1, maybe another Phs2
106 GTi in Sundance or Blaze yellow, maybe even a VTS in posidean or gold
306 GTi6
Considered an E36 328i..... but they are a little asian.
Basically, I want something I can get in, drive, and not worry about issues. I need to start putting...
Given up now, straw that broke the camels back and all that
The new CVH lump is going in this week (hopefully) and it is for sale
Back to the frogs I go then
Seems that way.
Mate is dropping of his measuring tool later to see if the bores on my old block are OK, if so, will swap crank/rods/pistons from a spare. If the bores are shafted, then I will send new block to engineers to be sorted
So, had the car running for a little while. Used it for a couple of trips here and there. Had it booked in with my mate for its rewire this sunday. However, on thursday night, the car had other ideas.
Drove to Morrisons in the rain to get some food. Car started to misfire a little, then cut...
Hunting for a new TV, was originally looking at Samsungs and Sony LEDs around 40" circa £500
Then noticed a 47" LG for £500 with 100hz refresh and enough HDMIs
Anyone had any experience??
Currys advertise great deals on their site, yet never have any stock.
When you go in to check, they say they are discontinued....... yet still on display
I want to go and buy a TV... tonight..... and its just a pain in the f**king arse.
Kisses Alex
Sooooo, another little update
So, bottom end seems to be breathing a little heavy at the moment. I am not sure if this is down to where the oil return is plumbed in, or whether the rings are fucked. I will do a leakdown test this week. In te meantime, homemade catch tank FTW...
3 in a row I think mate.
The last owner I spoke to him the other week and he was moaning about wanting his stereo back. He can f**king have it. That badly wired sack of s**t was the reason the battery kept draining. f**king speaker wires used for power
It's on the mend now anyways
Havent done much since the last update.
Got the car running, but the idle was fucked. Dragged it up to Chorley St Garage in Bolton with the AA man behind me in case I broke down, lol.
Its been set up for now, but needs a proper set up by the likes of MSD or NMS, which it will be getting in a...
This could be something so simple as the OP has cut someone up and not realised. They have noted the car and then seen it parked up. Revenge dealt.
Gutting, but so easy to happen without a garage
Actually made a full on mess in my pants!!! That is a credit to the RS badge mate. Stunning example.
Oh, and ABS will be belts round the inner CV joints near the gearbox. Its an AWFUL system. Most have been ripped off now.
Chip and Gally making me cry here with the S2 hated in full force, lol
TBH, if I had the money, I would have an S1 instead, but they just command too much money for what, essentially, is the same car.
Then again, if I was paying £8k for a nice S1........ I would also be interested by some Q...
So, little update
Got the head back on
Downpipe wrapped
Threw it back on
Kent vernier involved
Told my mate I wanted a standard rocker cover to replace the blingy s**t. What does he bring round
Piece of junk.
So a quick brush with the good stuff
That will be being painted up soon...
