Right, i have come to the conclusion that my car does not have this illusive blue plug. i have seen what it looks like so i know what im looking for. i spent a good half hour with the dash and clocks out and i cant find it. :(
any thoughts??

so its burried somewhere amongst the mass of wires that run across the dash? its not exposed then? wud it be between the bazillion wires just gotta sift through and i will find it??
if i find it u wanna sell them back to me?? ;) they will work off my valver lump! :rasp:

thats right i i jus the plugged the cable from the gauge into the sender unit using a spade connector. as soon as the inginition is turned it shoots up and past 7Bar!!! my only thought is that the sender unit of the block is not suitable for the gauge i bought which is why they send u a...
lunner, that would be good. i would never dream of drilling it! and this sandwhich plate fits between teh oil filter and the block yeah? and then i connect the sender to that and i will get a proper reading? i'll take it off u if thats the case!

well thats wot my initial reaction, but theres no way it will fit in place of the original sender. plus if i do change it it will be a nightmare to do so??

its auto gauge pal, yeh its earthed preoperly cus i disconnected it and it stoped workin when i reconnected it was jus the same. i imagine its electrical?? :S although i aint 100% sure when i turn the ignition it jus shoots all the way up to 7bar and cums donw a tiny bit wen im driving.

right, fitted an auto gauge oil pressure gauge today and it constantly sits no lower than 7 bar. it twitches when i rev it but thats it!
i got a replacement sender with the auto gauge kit but theres no way it will replace the original one as it far to big.
any ideas?
hi dude! is was fairly straightforward yeh took me an my mate about 2 and half days to remove my engine, fit the valver and get it running!
unfortunately im in the midlands! shame!

errrr managed to get a complete valver lump still on the subframe for £250, so it included track, suspension,brakes,etc pretty much the whole fornt end.
fortunately im a little mechanically handed, and i got my mate to help who works for a metal fabricating company and has been workin on cars...

As some of you may know i have a valver lump put in my old 1.4. am i right in saying that i can just swap the rear axles over and connect the nesesary handbreak cables and brake fluid line up.

errr no i cant remember mate, if its just the diameter of the cone filter your after, then if theres a halfrauds neer you get yourself down there and take a look at the ripspeed air ducting, that fit more or less straight round it. alternatively, ask Ryan who bought the kit off me to get his...
U might wanna take the filter out of casing and give it a clean chap. over time tiny bits of crap will clog it up!
