I’m not sure due to the engine and box combination but it’s fairly low miles for the age (104k). I’d like to think I could get close to a grand for it if I decided to sell, what do you think?
Cheers for the comments chaps. I’ve ordered a few bits and bobs for the E36 over Christmas so I thought I’d get a total spend going. So far it’s:
- The car and transportation home - £250
- Oil, filters, spark plugs - £45
- Wheels - £80
- Badges all round - £30
- Missing front splitter, not yet...
We tested the fully automatic roof and it also worked perfectly, however there is a small tear in the rear plastic screen so this is due to be replaced in a few weeks at a local upholstery company who have to sow the new screen in. As mentioned previously the tyres were shot so they needed...
Let's clear this up from the start, this car is a 318i auto, and it is slow and sounds crap. However, the gearbox is smooth and there is some potential (I think). We spotted the car a few years ago and it's been stood since 2011, a cheeky question as to what they planned on doing with the car...

Exactly the same here! Have you got the new iOS update with the Announce Messages? Pretty good for when I’m sat at my desk at work and I receive a text.
Yep! Didn’t even tell me either, I was shifting the cars round on the drive and I noticed it. How long has your oil light been on? Oh is that what it is, a few days. 🤦♂️
Me too! I used to live in Clowne but now living in Palterton, travel that way to and from Halfway everyday. Such a crap drive when you get stuck behind someone doing 30 the entire way.
I’ve got a condensing boiler, swapping out the thermostat in the lounge won’t be a problem but how easy is the Heat Link bit to install to the boiler itself? Do I keep my programmer in the kitchen cupboard also?
