I'll give you that on the competition Ali. The first one hit towards the end of the Williams and before the 172. It doesn't stop it being one of the true greats though.

LOL, laps faster than a CTR...
Yeah passive RWS, used to corner like it was on rails.
I remember the ad Fletcher. It was in reference to the 6 speed box. Like I said, I seriously wanted one for years. I had to write off my Rover 200Vi before I got one. lol
By who? They were seen as hardcore and the greatest of that era. Every review I read back then either had the GTi-6 or 106 GTi win. They were very stiff and had a nasty sting in the tail. Get the back end out and they often threw people into a tank slapper, spitting them out the other way.
I...
I had a GTi-6 years ago, and have since owned a 172. In all honesty the 6 is still one of the greatest hot hatches I've ever owned. If it weren't for the age thing I would have got one instead of the 172, but I wanted a new car. I was forced to sell the 6 when I got a company car, by the time I...
Nice one. :D
Hotels, crossing and flights home are all booked. Insurance is sort of done. They just need a few last details. I think Dan did it through the company the rally organisers recommend.
You'll have to go some to beat our fine paint job. lol
Bunch of kids driving them!!
I was expecting a massive queue for them, but we got straight on.
Gareth, I left at 6, and got back to Addlestone about 9!! As the M25 was a car park I had a bite to eat then left about 9.45. I was back in Bedford just after 11, but I was totally shattered.
All the Renault dancing girls came into hospitality on Sunday for us to take photos, but I'd just put my normal lens in the car, so to use the one I had on I would have had to stand at the other end of the room. lol
The Cup is being driven by Dan Trent who writes for MSN cars and Performance Car Magazine, the 200 is being driven by Jeremy Townsend (at a guess as he was driving it a fair bit that afternoon) Press and Public Relations for RUK. Both are amazing drivers. I've been out on track with both of them.
You posted something regarding panning a while back, relating to following through with the pan even when not shooting. It really helps.
It helped a lot at Silverstone on Saturday and Sunday. I just wish I'd got a 400m lens. Most the time my 70-200 was at 200 with the 1.4 extender on...
Cheers, I was hoping you would have a look and let me know what you thought. I was shattered by the end of the day with all that walking. Worth it though.
I was really pleased with most of them. I didn't really have time to get a decent position on the hill. If it hadn't been for the WSR I'd have gone for a couple of days.
Taken on Friday. Not much to say really other than an awesome event as it is every year.

Constructive comments welcomed.
Thinking about it, it's probably more that they have better things to do. I don't have the time to do it.
I've never detailed a car in my life, the most I've ever done is a good polish and wax. I've ever once taken a wheel off to clean, or taped over bits. lol
I keep buying my old man things to clean his car, but he just takes it down the jet wash. He has good intentions for a few months while they're new, then loses interest. He rarely tops up the Diamond Bright stuff.
I was shocked to see he had bought a wheel brush when I went round last night!!!
