With Ableton there is no beat matching. You need warped tracks or you have to do them yourself. This puts time markers at specific points in a track. It's easy once done a few times. Then any track you cue up will be in time with another, job done. It sounds lazy but it actually gives you...
I'd be suprised if it comes with a soundcard unless the system it's £400+. Coded vinyl would be your best option then, didn't know you had decks. Look at Serato Scratch too.
It depends on what you want to do. If you are going Ableton then don't bother with decks or a wheeled midi controller...
Re: [PC/Xbox/PS3] Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Official Thread
Anyone been playing this? It's f**king awesome! The way you can drill a small hole in a wall to snipe though is a real touch. Got totally nailed though last night, need practice. So much more fun than COD.
The problem with the budget controllers is the lack of touch sensitive jog wheels. The Vestax VCM-100 has them but lacks a built in soundcard, if you have a half decent one onboard/external one it doesn't matter. If you are only starting out and don't think you need touch sensitive wheels then...
All updates improve what we can do with the PS3, it's only a few mins out of your life. As I said before just DL it online on to a USB, piece of piss and takes about 5 mins so you can all stop moaning.
Stop f**king moaning. Just download it onto a USB key, it took me 2 minutes last night.
And yes there is a problem with iPlayer on some models especially refurbs as they can be Euro models. Waiting for a fix, just use the browser instead for now.

Quite common. Me too. Seems to be mainly on refurb fat models. Have you tried watching through the browser? Some people have done this and the icon has reappeared.
I thought it was good. There are some good shootouts and found it quite immersive like you were in Fistful of Dollars or similar. There is an open mission part in the middle of the game which it could have done more with. Online is dead now though apparently.
Am I the only one that doesn't like this idea for anything except some sports games? For anything else like racing or shooting I like to be able to hold something like in real life. Would you like your car to not have a steering wheel?
I was going to post about this yesterday. Look at the Gamespot vid review, they love it. It's more like Oblivion than Fallout with slightly cheesy cut scenes. It looks like it could waste a few hours though.
Me obviously, otherwise I wouldn't have posted it....and other people with PS3's. I was just pointing out that there are a lot of good games coming out next year for both consoles. Really looking forward to some as I may have more time on my hands to play them. :approve:
But the fact is there IS a lot coming out next year over both platforms. I really think it will be a harder choice next year. I can't remember htis time last year looking forward to anything coming out this year.
I think next year will come good for the PS3 what with some exclusives and some shared games. There is a lot due out that will make both consoles very comparable. GT5...., Mafia 2, Red Dead, Agent, MAG to name a few. There have only been a couple for PS3 this year, Uncharted, Infamous and...
