I think weve come to general consensus that you have a dud there mate! Id take it along to your local dealer!

Tom, I think hes talking about the other extras, ie. engine mods, exhaust mods etc, being produced by R-Sports!

Abbs, As the enine becomes looser the on-cam felling will become more pronounced!!

In my experience with 8-Valve cars they all have tended to be better on the uptake! They were an old Mk1 Golf Gti and a 2.0 Laguna, always seemed nippy pulling away at 20MPH in second say, where the equivalent 16V engine wouldnt be as responsive. Wasnt the jist of your explanation already...

Paulo, Thers no way a a clio would do 160MPH, with the mods you mentioned, youd be defying the laws of physics!!!!!

A VTR being an 8V will have, what feels like better pull low down, however when you get over that you realise that the revs are building slowly. The same thing applies to my old mans Golf TDi, hell it would destroy a VTR!!

GR, I dont know about you but Im effectively semi-hibernating my clio over the winter months, just bringing it out for the 12 mile round trip to work! Ill try to limit the millage to under 1000 miles over 4 months or so!
