well there are so many games on the pc i have which are coming out and whcihh i want to play, and play well. it's worth it for me as it'll last a good while.
Roy, nah have an ip35pro now, got rid of the sli board. so ati is the way forward i think...oh well i guess it'll be a xmas present :-/...
I'm running a 8800 GTS 512 Over clocked. Runs pretty well even crysis goes quite well, obvisouly no AA etc but i was thinking of upgrading to a AtI 4870x2 (the dual core edition) 2gigDDR5 etc.
However my PSU won't handle it (currently 650w corsair) so i'd need a 850w or more to run it...
tbh if they take the good bits from OSX and integrate them into windows i couldn't care less. If it helps makes windows either more solid or easier to use i'm all for it. OS design will end up being fairly similar in the end because certain things just work better. Windows OSX ftw imo
yeh sound slike the video codec is ok, the main problem is with the audio wmv pro that some people encode the movies with, same issue with the ps3, you end up with video but no audio. Either way, good bit of kit seems to do pretty much everything!
it's a good device if you don't have a ps3 or 360 you use for streaming, mmuch more comprehensive codec wise.
I wonder, do you guys know if it has WMVHD native formate support including WMV-Pro Audio Codec use?
surely you can plug in your wireless router via the ethernet plug? or plug a bridge into it or something?
how much? where'd you get it from matE? how big is the hdd etc? you done and hdd content yet?
sounds pretty sweet
i knew it! you guys!!! running uncompressed from a compressed source you'd think it would end up the same as the original...bope, 17% through 186GIG!!!! cancelled running as a bluray shrink equivalent, 2.36 hours....to go!!
lol but i've managed to get the ps3 to do EVERYTHING so i'm happy if this works, ok i'll post back in another 12 hours see how i get on, i imagine i'll need to tinker, atm i'm runnign uncompressed everything to HD avi, see how it goes :)
mate, have you used this program before?
i'm running a conversion between wmvhd 2 hour movie to divx avi 1920*1080 23fps and it's expecitng a 16hour turnaround? is this normal? wasn't expecting it to take that long tbh.
Do you have any recommended settings you could throw at me for striaght...
nah mate, screw all that.
i'm not sure how you're aquiring these mkv files but i would imagine they are from the web and compressed to about 8gig in which case, there is no point wasting money on bluray dics, get yourself some dual layer dvd's and use them, the bluray player will still play...
yeh plenty mate. doom9.org is a useful site or videohelp.com
What software do you have got latest version of Nero? that will burn the movie for you.
Are you going to buy bluray discs? or just burn dual layer dvd's in bluray format?
Anyone know how to transcode this fileformat? WMV-HD into a useable ps3 format? i've searched for so long and found nothing, perhaps someone else has had joy?
you need to convert mkv to m2ts file. this is then the format you put into the stream DIR in a bluray disc...
although atm ,i'm ont sure why you would want to do that, do you have a ps3? or is it a dedicated bluray player?
took me ages to find them...erm...basically..
First update you tversity to latest versions...then
go to your tversity folder. Find the profile.xml file, edit with word pad, find a reference to PS3 Version 1.00 and change it to 1.50 (there are two), then save the file, restart tversity, restart...
