Yeh I know what your going through mate. best bet is to just stick with the 1.2 till your 19/20 and then see what a 172 insurance is like if your going that route.

I wouldn't bother whatsoever mate. The 1.2 was Renaults budget engine so it would be pointless wasting ANY money on the engine. I would try and save up for a 1.4 16v OR 1.6 16v which have the kind of bhp your after (98bhp & 110bhp)
