My ph1 172 can get 50mpg on a run averaging 50mph... Motorway job at 70ish around 40/45mpg... 30mpg on a run? thats terrible tbh...

Clutch was shattered! The material on the clutch was twisted and had actually come away from the clutch unit itself... Shouldnt have really driven.

Example, mines got a mixed/s**t history...75k on the clocks...this week it;ll be needing a new clutch and exhaust (£1k)

Its when you let the clutch go (to engage in gear) the noise appears for a second or so. I havent had a look at the clutch cable, I got back late last night :(

Well cant say im too surprised? Car had been juddering when pulling away for around 3 months (done it when I bought it) Tonight, on the way home I approach a round about, put the clutch in (feels abit lighter then usual) pull away in 1st and just hear a light crrrrrshhhhhhhh noise when pulling...

I possibly would...if I had the other half of my exhaust attached to the car still :(

Tbh, my ph1 has done 75k and although it has a stack of random service history...it doesnt have anything specific (Cambelt etc) Use it as a bargaining tool ;)

The black one I had was cammed and rolling roaded at 145bhp, I would say comparing my black one to the ph1 there wasnt much in it untill past 80 where the longer legs of the 172 came in. Saxo was much much more fragile aswell and build quality wasnt upto much! makes the clio look like a rolls...
