Recieved a letter through the post this morning....
" it has been brought to our attention by Renault UK that a possible enhancement may be applicable to your clio car...we will be pleased to carry it out free of charge"
does anyone know what this is for...is it a recall..?
The flickering light means that your brake PADS are very low...ie get new ones quick....
the same happened to me.....(dont go renault tho)...toooooo expensive...
Seen it a few time yesterday...erm...seemed to be a 172 (lookalike)...
but im not entirely sure...
Lots of stickers over it...and a V6 badge under the clio badge on the rear...ahem
(i think)
Seen a nice yellow 182 today driving up the new A726 also seen a nice clean 172 (i think) driving up the Queensway private reg (**ASL) or something like that....
Seen a 172 aswell on the way home the other day going round the roundabout further up the same road blue young guy driving car...
found out today what the horrible annoying rattling/squeeking noise was coming from the rear of the car...
The bloody cup spoiler rubbing against the rear window/car/whatever it is...
the car is booked in tomorrow to get the rear suspension bushes changed (THIS IS WHAT RENAULT...
thats what mine started off like...
but eventually the lights on mine where showing all the time, when stationary on a hill, when accelerating round a corner, driving up a very gentle slope...
thats why i had to get them changed...yours might be okay for a while longer....
I have done 23,000
It is the stop light and the wee handbrake light that comes on...
Originally it flickers if you go round corners fast or up a hill fast...but eventually comes on an stays on...
Something to do with sensors on the pads...i originally thought it was my fluid...
my pads where 90% worn...
and the wee hazzard light was on....
Was scarred to go above 50mph for fear of brake failure...the corsas had a field day with me...;)
They couldnt find the exact source of the noise after removing the whole rear of my car but are replacing my rear bushes under warranty...??
does this sound right?

I WOULDNT take that very well....thats where i originally bought my car, have never went back though....
was quite impressed though, they only had my car out for 1mile....
was expecting more witht he new brakes fitted etc
they tried to charge me £42 for the wee plastic oval shaped unit under the plates...
claiming "it was corroded"
considering my car is less than a year old i dont think this should have happened...
i told him where to stick his "bulb and unit"
ive got 3yrs before my first...
After a crap day at renault...wasting money on a service and paying over the odds on brake pads all round....
went out to find my washed and hoovered car...with......small SPLITS on the centre caps on the wheels where they had been hammered on again
(cup pack aswell so the stand out)...
