Was driving today and the brakelight & STOPlight was flickering while driving. After a while it stopped flickering and just stayed on all the time, i filmed a short Vid and uploaded it on youtube.
does any have any idea how this can be fixed, i tried...
i dont wanna take a chance and regret it. As it is the acceleration is really impressive, if the refurb smoothes it out along with the quickshift it wud be perfect
im either gonna go for a refurb box depending on how much its gonna cost.
the garage who do the refurb say they can get gearbox but just wanna make sure is the cup gearbox different to the 172ff and 182

Bad bits:.
Usual wear and tear for a car with 111,000 miles on the clock.
Front bumper has seen better days, mark on front right corner.
The usual problem with the steering wheel melting.
Rear bumper has a scratch in paintwork (can be touched...
a low mileage clio rs are cheap to buy without having to go for a high mileage. But ur on the swap/px market. I wudnt worry. A fsh clio wud of had a major serice at 70k, small in between. So shud be ok. Expect to change the belts if not been done. But its a safe buy, most owners on here are...
i too think the cup is really reliable, no AC regasing, ABS lights going off, airbags and stuff. Plus u get turinis which most clio owners end up wanting for ther next upgrade
he sold it for £2k and a month later it was sold for £1300 so who knows. Dont know if its on here, its a silver Ph1 with white 17inch speedlines and a loud exhaust, apex 40s
peolpe loose alot more on brand new cars, having less fun. Atleast with the SC youll love it too bits and know u have a clio that stands out. If u did sell it people on here wud snap it up. Id for one wud buy one today as a 2nd car if there was one on the market
200 is a new car so not much people know about parts, call renault, ktec or europarts. If the panal is the same they it shud fit. But just tell the insurance company its modded, there too busy, there not gonna come check ur panal if a clam is being made.
i was taking to a local lad who owed a ph1, said she sold it as it took too much petrol. when i told him mine £20 gets me 140miles on normal driving he was suprised. His ph1 £20 gave him 80miles. I dont understand cos a clio v6 will give atleast 60plus miles
i think if 'shadow' wants to spend 4k then go for it. u may well see that £4k again one day. people have been spending £4k on putting vr6 lumps in mk2 golfs for years. a mk1 golf with a s3 engine is worth more than £6k. So thats my point, a SC clio is worth alot.
Who said u cant buy a decent cup for 3k, i bought my cup for 3k 3years ago. And it was spot on, even came with trophy seats. they do turn up on the market for 3k but sell quick. So dont expect it to be waiting for u while u start up a treat making up ur mind.
im not putting the trophy down, the question to the tread was 'wat does the trophy have over other clio RSs'
A clio rs with a good coilover setup is more than wat u wud need on the road. Unless ur planing to drive at top speed.
