whats the best place to take the power lead through from the engine bay to the cockpit, is there a grommit that i can squeeze it through??
the fuse should be as close to the batt. i have a dodgy fuse holder (on my new wiring kit), doesnt look to safe from water, is this a prob, if its going...
the most imprtant thing id how they sound to you, if you can listen to as many speakers HU subs ect, then pic what you want and search for it cheaper on the interent
In my opinion i would go for-
Alpine 7894rb HU £299 (original price £500 - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/shop/acatalog/CAD_MP3_Players_10.htmlhttp://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/shop/acatalog/CAD_MP3_Players_10.htmlhttp://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk)
Spend say £100 - £150 of the front comps -...
TonyKL - so you think the reason why the sony HU are options is beacuse they are the easiest to fit?? Not so sure there mate... there are adaptors, it will be more allong the lines of those offering the best deals to renault. I know this but it frustrates me, my first HU was a sony, thought it...
IMHO - bearing in mind i havnt heard this HU, but the 7894rb is brilliant....f**king brilliant second only to a Nak.... Now the new range is out you can get it for a good price
chuck the 6*9s in my opionion, or just disconnect them and get an amp and a sub, or, if you cant afford the space get the new genesis 6*9 subs - the only good 6*9s on the market IMO. amp them up, if you have got new front amp those, if not, get urself some component speakers as the first step...
you can get allot more for your money than you get with sony, now why unless you were a dedicated sony distibutor would you kit your car out with sony with installs that looks so sweet and take such time and effort??? it baffles me,
Also if you were going to spend that money on ICE surly you...
whos is that, 6*9s (or whatever shape they are, cant quite see) and sub??? Hope those arnt being used!!!, plus xplod... oh my... glad its not mine, but quite nice looking install

oh, sorry i thought u meant that you had the comps in before and now your were going to amp them up!!!
Cool, tell me how you get on, as i will be doing it shortly.
Thanks Mate
Rorrie
prob wont be even that!!! depends on what make ect...
Yer definatly amp them, no 2 questions, make a huge difference. I havnt installed any of my ice in my car for the simple fact - i dont have the car yet- but ive got the stock pile of amps, mp3 player, comps, soon to have 6.5" subs in rear...
DAMN, love the way uve mounted the subs and the amps, what material is covering the box?? how about a setup a bit like this, without the middle sub and the amps one behind the other on false floor taking up the part of the floor that the sub enclosures dont cover...
are they the standard components? as if they are, they are good for stock but not good enough to warrent buying an amp, what is giving them 30rms, your HU, what HU have you got???
i have the infinity kappa 6.5" comps, there brilliant they take 90rms, but turn the gains down a bit and you should be fine, not sure though, so dont quote me if it f**ks them up.
Dont know about the new range of the kappas that has been brought out, have a look on...
