hi everyone thought i would start a post on this rather than keep hijaking other peoples
my clutch when you starting from stop is very stiff to lift making starting very difficult and sometimes stalling the car or jumping down the road but when car is going the clutch is perfectly fine it...
mine is exactly the same sometimes it does not do it some time it does would it help not to set of straight away and let the car run on idle for a couple of mins? cheers
mine is very very stiff especially in when trying to start in first from stop what could this be cos the clutch is fine after this does something need adjusting i dont have any clutch squeak sounds at all
the front chassis of the 172 flexes really bad when put under load the strut brace will help towards accomodating this i think a rear one would help a little bit in my opinion but alot people say stay away ...get onto strutbracer.co.uk they are the cheapest and recommended by hill power cheers
hi there hope you get it ace cars if you go for test drive have the car is third between 40-50 and then drop it to second and lift the clutch and excellerate hard this is a good test if the drive shafts are going mine did this if will sound like a knocking sound if it is really bad it will do it...
go for the mk2 mate i think the interior of the mk1 dash is just fricken aweful but not taking anything away from them they are still very nice cars i think the performance is identical mate but obviously the mk1's you dont see many around i looked at yellow one before i got my mk2 and it looked...
hi guys what can be done to reduce the sound made by these little buggers? can they be adjusted/cleaned or is the only thing you can do is flush the system at service time cheers thanks again
i managed 143mph and the gear light came on that is so funny what you supposed to do in 5th gear lol i ran out of road but a little bit more is possible but dont forget about the lost at those speeds we are probably not going that fast speedos may be out!! agreed that cornering and of the mark...

i have removed spare wheel and all crap in the boot including carpets etc have light weight 15 inch wheels on and a stainless system but unfortunately i am still a fat b*****d lol i would like to take more out but like the luxurys
cheers guys i thought with the increased air flow going into the car therefore burning more fuel an increase in the amount of fuel ratio would make up the difference therefore taking aware the hesitation and flat spot??????????
cheers guys for the comment so far it is very confusing nick at hillpower says you dont need a rolling road set up because the ecu after a little time adjusts it self to the improved fuel ratio and compensates!! argggg lol
hi guys have done a couple of searches and found the view on power boost valves to be very 50/50 has any one got any comments they could add about this because nick at hillpower rates them highly when you have modded your car....i have a slight flat spot in my pick up and i am hopping to get one...
