I traded in my 12 month old FF 182 with Cup packs for a Trophy. I didn't regret it one bit. I kept the Trophy 2 and a half years which is the longest I've kept any car.

There's no reason why correctly set up H & Rs wouldn't be as good if not better. It's all down to who sets them up really. The Trophy was obviously setup by Jean Ragnotti after hooning round French hillsides.

I think you would be amazed at how different a Trophy feels to a 172/182. I was. When I went from the 172 to the 182 the difference wasn't massive, although the 182 had more grip, more likely due to the wider rubber. The Trophy has a similar feel to to a 172 Cup, only with better turn in...

We probably could have got a couple more there if we hadn't left it so late in the day. They're quite popular round by me. Probably more so than the 172/182 ever where.

I do a 40 mile round trip into the centre of Birmingham. Sometimes it got a pain in the 172 and 182 due to the heavy clutch and having to constantly press it. It's far more comfortable in the Cup, although is costing me more in petrol. The Cup is coming up to 2 months old and I'm already over...
