as far as i know, the williams GB is geared lower allowing you to achieve maximum torque across the entire rev range. 16v is geared to take advantage in the higher revs. This seems pointless if your going for a 2.0, as you "may" not get the full potential from your 2ltr. You may also find you...
bought this saturday, not the best book in the world. not very detailed and seems to be aimed at idoits rather then customers needing it as a technical ref.
see what u think.
LOL,
its true, they are all heavy on the 16V, nothing to worry about as it doesnt take long to get used to it. If you have been used to driving a car with a light clutch it can come as a shock when you step in. When i first bought my clio 16v i had to have a can of redbull before i could...
Thanks Bill,
ive just been out for a 2nd run, the noise is coming from the exhaust, im 80% sure of it.
As for the de-cat - cat suggestion... its still hard to say bill as i do have a box shape which would indicate a cat converter, however you can get de-cats that look just the same as a...
insurance approved means nothing mate, all it means is that the company have agreed a set figure with the bodyshop to take on the work.. the fact that they do a good job or not doesnt come into it.
Sorry to hear about that m8, sounds like you would have been better leaving the stone chip as it...
Really hoping someone has had this problem, or can suggest to me what it is :-
Coming home last night I noticed that when reaching 6,000revs I hear a rather strange noise. Its hard to describe it really. If i was to try and advise what it sounded like, it sounds like a noisy vibration or...
Can anyone tell if the the grommet based inside the clio 16v\williamss bulkhead is big enough (once removed clearly) to feed 2x power cables. The plan is to have 2 amps, both drawing independent current through separate wires --> battery. im just thinking to myself that maybe the hole is not...
like what daz? apart from ECU i cant think of anything else thats required. if going from say an RT -> williams spec then maybe. For a valver its should be straight forwardish.
This is what i plan on doing, soucing a megane bottom end seems an easier task then finding a williams one. expect to pay around £300 - £350 and you also may want to fit a williams gearbox as the 16v is slightly higer geared. £500 brand new from Renault.
So thats £700 inc a brand new GB...
Renault alpine is that? lovely looking car in my view, saw one up close ages ago while at southend. it was the day the R5 clubs RR got cancelled which resulted in nothing but renaults flooding the seafront!! it was a lovely sight! :)
if it in included a re-build id be very tempted by this!! £5000 is a lot of money to justify for a turbo bolt on.. not knocking it tho, im sure it is as good as it sounds. £5000 is almost RX7 grounding...
i dont want to sound like a bore or anything, but the clio 16v looks the nuts "as is" you dont need a body kit to make it look better, youll end up making you car look tatty ( just MHO tho) The maxi kit is the only kit ive seen that looks good on a clio 16v. The rally MAXI was the nuts, so much...
how do you mean by "any problems fitting it" ? are you fitting it yourself or something? the rear arches need to be cut out and replaced if you call that a problem?
Yes you wheel need spacers, and what size are your alloys at the moment? you will need atleast 18s to full those arches, to make...
i have tarox discs, G88s in fact (40 grooves in each disc) they are the nuts. cost me a fair whack tho. Some people say they are over priced, other say you get what you pay for. make up your own mind.
i love the discs, but im not happy with my pads, DS2000s. breaking from say 90mph -> 60mph...
