Here ya go lads, vid was taken on my iPhone, so not the best but you get the idea. This is a 576bhp dyno pull.
We actually had abort a run that was 581bhp and climbing as it was getting a bit too near the mark lol
Well, what a day.
To put it blunt the day was amazing... i am delighted... and the car is in short, f'kin ballistic on the road!
Huge thanks to Simon, Charlie and CJ for their work on the car, and a huge thanks to my wingman MADDOG for coming with me.
Ive got heaps of thankyou's to do and...
The Bomber saw a swap to NGK Racing 8 plugs tonight in preparation for mapping. I was delighted with my idea of the removable fuel pump/filter cradle too.
The whole system came out in about 3 minutes, 2x AN fittings, 1x bolt and 1x multiplug and the whole assembly lifts out for easy plug access...
Splitter finally arrived this week.
The finish was alright but personally didnt like the fitment on the car. I wasnt happy paying £175 for something that IMO didnt fit correctly. So sent it back and went for a new OEM from Renault.
Renault one arrived in 2 days and fitted today, fits...
No mate. im not running a V-mounted cooler. It will probably just be an open vent with black mesh under it.
The 2002 S7 WRC wing wasnt fluted mate. It overhung, so if i were ever to fit one it would look like this.
Will do chap, dont worry
No worries Gareth, i appreciate the concern. Just not much i can do about it now.
Yeah, although i'll be happier once shes been dynoed and setup :)
Not for me mate, i want to keep the exterior to the S7 tarmac spec car.
Had a smaller plate before mate, but i dont want any unwanted attention from the plod. So large stick on plate, correct font, size, spacing and in view. Ticks the box.
Cheers :)
My rarest find to date,
Ive wanted one of these for years, but Prodrive stopped making them a while ago. Ive managed to finally trace a genuine works S7 WRC carbon vent brand new with the prodrive sticker on it.
Taken years to finally find one, then out of sheer fluke i found this. I cant wait...
First oil change done and 170 miles later she drives lovely.
Been a busy boy today fitting these. Ride is very compliant but she needs a geometry setup, also need new camber bolts as the tangs broke off the rears :(
Still, she drives fine for guesstimated geomtry lol
And before anyone says...
That'll be her diff gurad mate.
Thanks again guys. Shes almost there. :)
Got all new dampers sat here ready and waiting so should help her stance a little better aswell as her handling. :)
Well i thought id add some pics now shes basically complete.
Did a little refurb on the replacment alternator. Dont worry, just paint and yes i have tested it since lol. Also added the strap to the back of the alternator.
Also having owned the car for 7 years, id never got round to buying any...
Well guys, the Bomber lives.
Big thanks to Simon (JGM) for his time this morning. Shes now equiped with a Syvecs S6 and with a few little issues sorted fired up pretty good.
Our only casualty at present is a dead alternator which is obviously stopping us setting up her base map as the car is...
