Yeah, Stu dropped by. Steering rack feels much nicer now lol. Build will be done before the year is out so i'll drop you a PM when it will be in the work carpark as i'll be running it in as soon as i can.
Many thanks guys :)
Pullies were purchased like that. The exhaust is wrapped for thermal efficiency. This is to both keep the heat in the system and to stop heat radiating into the engine bay and surrounding components. The coating on the intake manifold is just Powdercoat. It's there only for aesthetics and...
DEI wrap arrived today so took the turbo/uppipe back out and got these wraped up. Gave the wastgate pipe and extra layer of Kevlar to help protect the steering UJ.
Got the steering rack to swap when the bushes arrive and i'll get these droped back in and clamped up tight :)
Oil cooler plumbed in. I'll clip up the lines when the rad gets its final fitting.
Also finally have a downpipe that fits. She dont look much but ive been on hold for this since dropping the motor back in.
So we're back in business, hopefully the homeward run now :)
More stuff arriving all the time... my postman must be getting pissed off with me by now. This was todays little bundle :D
Oil cooler bolted up now with a slightly revised duct to aid ease of fitment. Just gotta plumb this up now :)
Having some greif with the twisted doenpipe that was made so that needs remaking. Done a few more little odds and sods jobs but till the downpipe is remade i cant do too much. Once thats done, both that and the uppipe can either be wrapped or go fer ceramic coating. I cant bolt the engine in on...
Cheers guys, actully im not joking when i say it still smells new. It feels like someone has put a brand new 182 for 5 years and then ive picked it up.
Had the front wheels off tonight to give the arches a wipe down and re-seal. The whole underside was done with the previous owners and im the...
Its been owned by 2 friends of mine, both completely car anal and used as a second car. In the last 4 MOT's its done approx 500 mile between each one.
Its so mint, neither of them used it. Now I have it as my daily drive and intend to use it as it was meant to be, without spoiling it of...
Lol, the Beemer isnt mine, its actually a dark metallic red. Really nice colour actually.
Yeah the paint on the Clio now looks deep enough to swim in. I was under strict instructions not to get it dirty from Gareth haha. He helps me buff it, then i go and drive the arse off it. Lol
Minter...
Hey guys,
Some of you may remember that I picked up my 182 the other week. Well today she finally got a decent clean. Clean, clay, polish, glaze and wax.
Huge thanks Gareth at Detailed Obsession for doubling up with me and making it a much easier job. :star:
Car is 100% stock except for a...
Guys,
Little question here.
Picked up my FF cupped 182 on Monday.
In short, i absolutely love it. Most of all i love the way it drives and handles. However, i would really like it a wee bit lower just because i think it will look better.
After a little digging it would seem that Eibachs...
Lol, the title of this thread says it all.
I also picked up my first ever Clio (cupped 182FF) on Monday.
My other car is a big bhp Impreza and this thing is giggle central. I cant remember the last car i drove that gave me such a laugh.
Schoolboy grin well and truely slapped across my face :D
