I originally posted pics of my car a while ago when i first bought it.
Since then I have carried out some subtle mods which have made a nice difference without changing the original car too drastically.
Just home from the garage after collecting the car:
RS Grill fitted, nice easy job...
Well, got my car booked in for thursday morning to have the springs fitted.
I know i could have done it myself, but i dont have axle stands, spring compressors etc and the garage is only charging £40 + vat so i can live with that.
Then it will be the wheels going on next week sometime, need...
My mate was told this is because you are going to fast for first gear if you get resistance even when the cluthch is depressed. It is to stop you going into first and making the engine scream when you come off the clutch.
Not sure about this explanation myself, but did try it at different...
I just got some nice vouchers which are valid til end of Sept which give me a 4 year/36000 mile service for £99.00 and Cambelt change for around £220. Good news for me as my service is due at beginning of September!
apologies, just reread it and the recommended renewal period for the cambelt is 75,000 but it is recommended to change it at 36,000 for cars which do a lot of stop start driving and/or short journeys.
Whilst there is more than a good chance that everyone here has speeded today by 2-3 mph, going 108 when the speed limit is 70 is a bit more extreme, and someone in that position should have been a bit more aware of his speed.
I think THAT is what most people were trying to say. Didnt here any...
Lol.
I wasnt going for a big drop, just subtle changes, bit of an improvement to handling etc.
Thats what I am going for, a nicer stance, have some spacers to go on with the wheels as well.
he might not mention needing your bank details but i have read about these scams before.
The international cheques they use do indeed show as cleared into your bank account within 2-3 days, however the money has not actually cleared, and a few days later, even up to a few eeks, the cheque can...
sorry, but i thought recommended pressures were there on the tyre for a reason, they dont list hundreds of different pressures on each tyre for all the different cars they might get fitted to, do they?
he did have good intentions and he was the first one to do it and it was much appreciated. I don't have a clue how to do that and as he said, it was just a quick go, so people earlier on shouldnt have had a go at him.
Am still trying to decide though lol
Its not MikeyDees is it Middo? Sometimes i think it is cyclone, others i am not sure.
To be honest, after seeing it i am really not sure about CCing it.
If i can get some cheap second hand bump strips from somewhere i may do it so i can put it back to normal if i dont like it.
thing is i do about 20 miles a day every day of the week and only put £20 in every two weeks so mines pretty accurate. I was well impressed when i saw the economy.
Your getting about the same consumption as my flatmate gets in his Leon Cupra!
My typical driving lesson with my mate is about 1/2 mile at 30mph, then 5 miles at 60mph, then about an hours town driving at up to 30mph with lots of roundabouts junctions etc then the return 5 miles at 60mph.
I normally put in £20 which according to the trip computer gives me about 270 miles...
