slightly off topic but'IF' ;) i was a stalker or mad axe man i would now know where you lived from that link cos it contains your postcode so perhaps not wise posting that on a forum where guests can view...
re the car - im not sure you would notice the difference too much. worst case is to go...
hmm it pisses me off when some of the replies here say that bikes are too dangerous. The only reason that bike crashed was because it was being driven by a t**t with a death wish who deserved to die. Pity the poor other fookers that he crashed into is all i can say.
Whether you drive a car...
if its covered ont he house insurance they why bother ? When my new cotract started in march i was quoted £8 pm for purely phone insurance whioch is extortionate. I went home added personal possesions on me away from the house for just over £10 and now im covered on hpone plus shed loads of...
close at low revs to 'aid' swedish drive by noise regulations, opened at higher revs - effectively limiting the air intake (not to mention induction niose :) ) ph1 172 dont have it, later ones do but many have removed it (inc me) for marginal performance gains and to make it pleasing on the ears !
if your planning a better setup then rerunning the wires to the head unit is better as you *should* be using better wire than the standard loom. however i did the quick fix and routed to the existing speakers in the rear.
iso pinouts are standard...
as long as you take your time then its not bad. I didnt put the rubber bits back and was ready to scream when i couldnt get the dash out cos it clips to the back of the passenger airbag and ended up damaging the cornersof the dash and bending the metal on the top of the airbag (now its cut off :) )
u mean the plastic bit which holds the dials ?
remove the dash via torx screws, 3 by air vents close to windscreen, 3 under shiney metallic plastic bit in front of passenger seat, 1 right of steering wheel, 2 under cover of steering housing which pops off. remove the plastic pillar covers from...
i often use a prog called active undelete which works a treat. When you delete something on a disk it doesnt actually delete it. Think of it as just removing the line on the contents page of a book instead of actually ripping the page out. The only time the data is lost is when the page data...
pah that was just for show. Only drivable cars were basic petrols and diesels, with the cabriolets being booked up solid all day. Highlight for me was the wife being told off for driving the diesel megane sport too fast !!
Was one of the many invited to the Renault ride and drive day @ Chatsworth house on Sat and instantly saw this at the front of the customers car park.
Nice number plate too :) No cs sticker but worth the pic
I was just checking under my bonnet on Sat when I saw that a sensor to the left of the dipstick and above the oil filter had copper of the wires showing on both wires leading to it. When i tried to insulate them with tape the rubber insulation just broke away in my fingers as tho it had...
the short answer is you cant. I looked into this and the old basic serial interfaces arent upto scratch these days. The hardware layer hasnt changed much but the communications protocols have and the only ones which work are £1k+ due to the investment involved.
Ive been toying with having a decent play in trying to repair some of the various stone chips and scratches I have collected in the past 3 years. My wife works for a Co. which sells car polishes and various compounds so I have access to some half decent stuff at a reasonable price should I feel...
hmm wasnt aware that the liftoff oversteer was caused by the inner rear wheel lifting but makes perfect sense!
/me makes note not to try and do this again on the roundabout near home with my m8 behind with a camera...
edde care to elaborate a little on that ?
I assume the water feed goes to some kind of valve which weeps when faulty ? I havent took the bumper off (yet) so am unfamilair with the unit but how can it be glues to fix it ?
Am assuming the system is
water pipe feed - ==unit== - feed to bumper/nozzle
12v full load is ok iirc but at idle revs ? and is that with a standard or hoofing great massive stereo / amp / sub ?
it should be fairly rare all that lot are running simultaneously and is probably an indication that the system is overloaded. If your getting 14v at idle with no load then id...
the higher the enginve revs = higher voltage produced from the alternator = higher voltage seen on bat. unless something is pulling it down like a larger load or iffy gnd / alternator
an interesting idea. I assume the standard setup have the lever with some gearing attached to a pot (either linear or log) which moves according to the pedal which the ecu uses (with some degree of latency).
From that description the new one is able to tell how hard you plany your size 11 and...
ye unless you have loads of after, market stereo stuff then 12v @ full load is a little low. you certainly wont be running for long like it. iirc alternator voltages should be ~ 13-14V @ 3000rpm
panel filter 40-50, full open IK 300 - some if negligable increase + more audible
silicon elbow - 50 as above
ported inlet & plenham chamber 300 - fairly large increase as most are quite bad
ITB - not sure expensive but good returns
Cams - as above but more expensive
remap - 300 indivually a...
hmm direct line have been superb with me. been with them for ~ 7 years. were massively cheaper when i tried to insure megane 1.4 and kept with them. Added the wife as soon as she passed her test (aged 26) for 0 GBP and now is earning her own NCB. My renewal is £480 Fully comp inc 9 years ncb
