    There are shed loads of hosting companies just have a look around. I use liquidsix hosting. As for hosting from home, you will need static IP and you normally get this from good broadband pakages.

    As said above, widescreen is where its at. Much better for everything, I have a 21"LCD with 1680 x 1050 but would love the resolution that comes with the 24" screens.
