it does not act as a 2nd battery,the idea is that it regulates the voltage of the power going to the amp,thats all and doesnt do that well!as said.bigger battery.bigger alternator

checked the fuses before you do it? www.fubarnet.com has a guide to take dash top off then unscrew lcd display

yep,ive found with mk3s you have to bend/snap off 2 of the clips as only held in by 2 screws
